We had fun
My wife and I really enjoyed everything about our experience at River Hall. We played 9 holes for our first time out this season. Smooth, fast greens, friendly fairways great facilities and staff.

Great course
4 Handicap- Was not familiar with River Hall But was very surprised! Course is in great shape, greens are comparable to Verandah (very nice, roll true), and the fairways/tee boxes are flawless too. Definitely recommend up there with Verandah and Raptor Bay.

Enjoyable
I really enjoyed the course. The fairways are nice and wide, a lot of sand but not much water. Greens are a little challenging.
It’s well taken care of and the members I got paired up with were a couple of great guys.

Decent Course
Played this course on a Sunday afternoon as a twosome. Played in just a tad over 4 hrs. Busy course.
Front nine is extremely wide open. Not a lot of character to this nine. Back nine had some really nice holes. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The greens were in great shape. Tees and fairways are in decent shape for Jan.
Pretty good value for this time of year.

Forgiving
Open fairways, very driveable. Bunkers strategically placed on several holes force players to hit precise shots. Club selection is key. The course is in great condition.

Hidden Gem
Started playing this course a few years ago and it's always in fantastic condition from tee to green. Greens are smooth and fast, bunkers well maintained and tee boxes perfectly manicured. Every hole has its own identity and keeps your attention throughout the round. Great for players of any skill level and if the wind is blowing it can take down the best player. The practice area including driving range, chipping green and putting green are all fantastic which is an added bonus. Finally, I finish every round in the bar/restaurant which is the perfect atmosphere for a drink and great food. River Hall is a must play for me every time I visit the area.
Layout is golfer friendly.
When we arrived there were few players and the starter could have sent us a little early. He said that he is new there and couldn’t do it. Could have checked with the pro shop. The fairways were better when I played in the Summer months. These are only constructive criticism.

Disappointed in the on line tee time.
I reserve the Tee time online on Golfnow then needed to make a change today before we went and I was never credited my 40 some dollars down payment very disappointed in that. The golf course said they had nothing to do with the on line reservation.

Good experience
My son and his friends played here and had an excellent time. Course was in decent shape considering the time of year. Pace of play, playability,and amenities were we ok above average. Will play again.

The driving range was split in a members only area and a guest area with totally different conditions. Whereas the members area seemed to be in a good shape, the guest area was in a really poor condition.
The course was quite boring and not really challenging. There are plenty of better courses in South West Florida for at least the same price.
Last but not least, my cart broke down (luckily on No 9).
Maybe they had a bad day or I had a bad day, but I wouldn’t play there again.

Nice course
Nice course. Very well kept and the staff was great. Green side bunkers protect the greens so choose your approach wisely. Multiple tee box options provide a shorter course for the high handicappers and some nice length at the back tees for the better players. Worth your time to play while in the Ft. Myers area!
