I couldn't beat the price...and definitely got my money's worth.
The fairways were in good shape, but the Greens were recently aerated, and were bumpy and slow. I couldn't beat the price...and definitely got my money's worth.
Best condition in over a year
Easy course with some challenging holes and great green fees through Golf Now (played 18 with cart for $7
Course itself is in the best shape I've seen it in over a year.
Not the best way to end a great golfing holiday in Florida
The course had several really good holes but overall the course requires some attention. The greens were ordinary at best and quite slow with clear signs of recent work that looked some way away from paying dividends. Sadly, it was our last day's golf on our holiday in Florida so it was a disappointing finish to what had been a great few weeks playing on some fine courses.
Much confusion and horrible greens!
Our tee time was 7:04 which it was barely light out, however, a men's league of approximately 60 players was going off and two sets of players had already teed off or were preparing to tee off. No starter was to be found but the men's league suggested we start off the back nine, which we did. After completing the back nine, we went to tee off for the front nine, however, the men's league was still teeing off. Finally, a starter appeared and had us start on 12, then go back to 10, 11, and 18. So we never did play the front nine. He was very nice about it, but said we should have never been able to get a 7:04am tee time with the men's league playing...no kidding! The course is wide open as mentioned in the description, but the greens were horrible. As you putted, the ball would pick up tons of sand and dirt causing the ball to jump, change direction, and move slowly. No exaggeration, after every green the ball had a layer of dirt and sand that had to be cleaned off.
accomodating staff
our tee time was delayed for 2 hrs because high school had an event there. before we teed off we were told the front nine was closed (aerating greens) and had to play back twice. they did offer a rain check. the back side was in very good condition.

Course needs a lot of work. Fairways & greens poor conditions. Not many yardage markers.
Continually improving...
For a Municipal Course, Mallards Landing gives the average golfer a lot of bang for their buck. Although not the most attractive Course on the Space Coast, Mallards Landing has continued to invest in their carts, fairways and greens over the past couple of years, and strives to maintain the Course through the harsh Summer temps.. From the Manager to the Volunteer Staff, everyone is friendly and helpful, and this has become a favorite of mine.
Decent course with challenging water hazzards
Although this is a typically flat, wide open Florida course, the placement of water hazards makes it interesting. Be sure to look at the course map when choosing your clubs.
The course has good design
The course is a good test of my game. It has great long holes and great short holes.
Wide fairways, limited lost ball opportunities
Well laid out course. Nice wide fairways. Few places to mis-place a golf ball.
This course is in very poor condition
half the greens are unplayable. Even for a Muni no one should be asked to pay $ to play a course in that condition. If you need a Muni in Melbourne go to Crane Creek its greens are in much better shape.
6 weeks after aeration and temp greens, course is worst I've seen it in 8 years
Course managers did not support Golf Now tee times and at first refused to accept reservation. Course was in poor shape with few players.
TERRIBLE COURSE CONDITONS. RE COW PASTURE.
I HAVE PLAYED THIS COURSE MAY TIMES IN LAST 10 YEARS.THIS COURSE HAS REALLY GONE DOWN.NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY VERY BAD GREENS. LOOKS AND PLAYS LIKE A COW PASTURE.
Greens needs work
Challenging course however, needs maintenance BADLY. Would not recommend until greens are fixed.
This course could be better
I remember playing this course years ago. I remember it being hit or miss as far as condition. Maybe it is an income issue? I don't know. I will say they pretty much give their memberships away and their regular rates are not by any means a reflection of how poorly the course and facilities are maintained. Their summer rates are as high as most well maintained clubs in the area.
The only reason I even went out there is because it was a hot deal on Golf Now @ $11 each for two. I would NEVER pay their full rate to play - NEVER!
greens are almost un playable . course needs lots of maintenance
Course needs lots of maintenance and is either unstaffed or mis managed. Tee boxes were full of weeds crab grass. Yardage makers are unvisable unless your on top of them. Poor valuve for the money.
Dirty
The greens were in terrible condition, cigarette butts all over the course. the course was in a really nice area and has a lot of potential, just needs some TLC, maybe a new manager.
This course has interesting holes
This course has some challenging holes. There are long par 4 holes, a par 3 over 200 yards, and dogleg holes. The greens and fairways could stand some work but it was a fun experience.
Fun course. Great Value
Greens are still a work in progress but to be expected this time of year. A very enjoyable course with moderate challenge and a great price.
Overseeding and then aeration have left the greens severely damaged. Hope they come back.
I had a tee-time for two and my son invited his buddy...the pro shop manager and starter quickly got us on the course and were very helpful and accommodating. Greens were bumpy and slow...described as furry by my son. Snack bar had a great selection of hot and cold breakfast items. Super friendly staff all around. Condition of the greens was outweighed by the pace of play...3.5 hours...and cost, $16 Hot Deal from Golf Now. Overall a good round of golf.
