Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

My favorite Brevard County course
Met Larry on the 1st tee and we finished 18 on under 4 hours. COURSE was in pretty good condition and though temperatures were in the nineties there was just enough breeze to make it bearable. I broke 100 hundred and for an almost 79 year old I'll take it.
Summertime Sandbox
Greens have been punched and sanded. But that’s going to be the case right now, no matter which course you play at. The rest of the course is in great shape!
Beautiful Course
First time playing the course. The pro shop staff is very courteous and welcoming. The starter was informative and kind. Beverage cart came around couple of times. Course was in great shape! Greens were firm, but true, and rolled very smooth. Fairways were green and weed free. Definitely coming back to play when my family returns to go to the beach, and I want a great day of golf!
Solid Course Despite Drought Conditions.
Despite drought, the course is holding up pretty good. Fairways are great. Greens have a few blemishes here and there, but nothing that ruined our round. I believe they have aeration scheduled soon. They ran true and fast. Staff was friendly and we essentially had the whole course to ourselves so pace was perfect!
another Good time
I had the pleasure of playing with a couple of guys that were good players and not complainers so that was the base of another good time at Viera East, greens were a little slower than usual due to the weather I am sure. Fun track and I will be back when I can!
BAD CONDITIONS
Greens are dying on the front side. We were started on the back which wasn’t bad but, the front side greens were extremely bad. Viera east is still charging full price for the the course as well. I asked the man inside the clubhouse if the greens were in the same condition as the practice green and I was told no but, they are. Will not play this course again till they fix these issues
Yikes
When one pays over 90, you should have some expectations to experience better than average conditions. I've never seen the putting surface starting at practice area to be that bad. The course didn't fair much better with every putt bouncing across the greens and don't get me started on sand trap conditions. Yikes.
Play if in Cocoa Beach area
Got a hot deal while on vacation in Cocoa beach. Pace of play was good. Course is forgiving off the tee and the layout had some fun holes. Would play again.
Too expensive for bad conditions
It’s a shame that courses can still charge the full amount when course conditions aren’t good. The greens are beat up from the winter while other courses seem to be doing okay. The number of times I’ve been to Viera East a paid full price for aerated or sanded greens is very disappointing. Plus there was a slow group in front of us with nobody in front of them. Multiple times the ranger drove by and didn’t make any effort to change the situation.
3hr round!
Booked a hot deal cost me $50. The starter let me go 20 minutes prior of my tee time. Staff is super friendly. Some fairways and tee boxes need some love.
Great pace I was done within 3hrs!
Viera East Review
The course was in ok shape. We were charged $130 to play 9 holes for 2 golfers. Seems a little pricey.
