Baytree National Golf Links

The course was in decent shape. Better than I have seen it in a few years.

Not many people on the course, probably due to the summer heat, so pace of play was good.

There was no drinking water on the course. That can be a problem in the summer. Bring your own, I guess.

First time playing this course, you have to rely on good shots. Bad shots will be punished here. The course was well maintained and the staff was friendly. Look forward to playing here again soon.

Let’s talk about staff first, guy in lordship took my call before I booked and I asked if there were any restrictions with carts since I had a knee injury and had a brace on. He told me there were none and I signed up. Fast forward, checked in, nice place and went inside to pay and guy told me that there were no restrictions again. Then I got onto course, which was in good shape, to find out that almost every hole had severe restrictions and carts were mostly on paths. Needless to say, since walking was not an option at this point I left the balls and dropped on path side mostly. Course was decent shape. Only made 9 holes and the bottom fell out! Way out! Called it a day. Not sure if they provide rain checks or credits but everyone else I spoke to was great. Even the shop attendant was fine but had no clue about course or conditions or carts rules.

Nice course to play if you are on your game otherwise make sure you bring plenty of balls. Majority of staff are friendly and accommodating. Greens in pretty good shape and running consistent. Great and challenging layout.

Played with 2 members of Baytree who I hadn't met before the 1st tee. They were patient with my ineptitude and we finished the round in slightly over 3 hours. Though it was hot and muggy there was enough of a breeze to make it bearable. Course was a little treadbare in place but playable.

I always say one more time but no more. Staff always seems put out in the pro shop or at the cart pick up area. Like I'm sorry we want to golf today? Asked if there was a beverage cart which they said yes (100 plus degrees), no cart all day and no water jugs on the course. Minimal drinks available in the bar to take on the course. So many better places to play in the area who actually want people to show up.

We enjoyed our round at Baytree. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The course is in good condition and challenging. It’s a big course with water, sand traps and trees.

Loved the course and design. The greens were unexpectedly bad. If I had known about that, I would have played another course. It was a shame for the rest of the course was great.
