Stewart Peninsula Golf Course
About
Stewart Peninsula offers a nine-hole golf course along Lake Lewisville with dual greens on every hole. On the first round, you'll play from the red tees to the red flags, and on the back you'll go yellow to yellow. After a straightforward opening hole where the only real problem is a pesky fairway bunker, nos. 2 and 3 start a trend of interesting holes. No. 2 offers completely different looks from each set of tees. The right side pin placement presents problems because of the lake, and the left flag rests close to greenside mounding that will send balls bounding afar. Misses here should find the bunkers, as the recovery is not all that difficult from the sand. Stewart Peninsula's third hole is probably the signature, and a 250-yard drive will put you in prime position to go at the multi-tiered green. Avoid missing back right, as the up-and-down is especially difficult from that side.

Well maintained course
We enjoyed round and lost several golf ball due to Peninsula.
Good lakeside views golf course with 9 holes.
Fun links style course.
Fun links style course tucked away in DFW. Staff was somewhat overwhelmed with how bisy the course was one such a beautiful, weekend day. This caused an initial wait for carts and a 2-3 card build up when circling back around between people teeing off hole 1/ 10. Overall fun time with a good variety of challenging shot shapes. Will definitely be going back in the future.
Great Lakeside experience
This is a unique course right on Lake Lewisville, greens have recovered from snowmagadeen damage last season. Good for 9 holes and with different tee boxes and flags for back 9 makes 18 holes work. Best part is the course is almost never slow play.
Harassment by course staff
My friend and I were started 30 minutes late, and then the course staff began following us and harassing us about our speed. There was no one for 2 to 3 holes behind us. Within 7 holes, the staff person approached us 5 times and told us to hurry up or leave the course. So we did. Rudest service I have ever experienced at any golf course. The owner returned my call after we left but I question if I’ll return here.
Fun Time!
The staff was awesome and the course was great for a newbie like myself. Will definitely play again.
Great First Round!
This was my very first round I have ever played. Course is 9 holes you play twice, once from the red tees and once from the gold tees. Essentially the same holes but enough variation that a newbie like me is still challenged. Staff is very friendly and helpful and other players kept good pace with no rushing. Family friendly environment. Greens were well kept, tee boxes not as much but it’s early March so very understandable. Wind was consistently 20mph which made it difficult but I shot a 106. Not quite as bad as I expected I’d do. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great bang for your buck course!
Pleasant surprise
First time playing here and was pleasantly surprised by the course. 9 holes with double greens and two (usually close) markers on the tee boxes for each 9. It's always enjoyable to play by water and most of the course has views of the lake, if it isn't right on the lake, and often has water as a boundary or crossing the hole. The layout is interesting and makes you think, particularly on the par 4's and the one par 5 if the wind is up. Conditions are scrappy at times but for the price they are good. Never had to worry about hitting anyone on the other side of the double greens as the tee time system worked well and pace of play, even on a Saturday, was no problem. Compared to the other courses across the lake (Old American, the Tribute, and Frisco Lakes), this course easily gives you equal if not more bang for the buck.
Different kinda of experience
A nine hole that doubles back with dual greens. Not bad if you want a short short course with narrow fairways. Pace of play wasn’t bad for a Tuesday but with groups doubling back for the second 9 it’s gets kinda slow. Not bad if you only wanted to play 9 but you never pull a driver if you want to play the long game. Staff was great and course condition weren’t back for the first of March. For someone that plays 6800 to 7500 yards normal this course is not something I would try again.
