Stewart Peninsula Golf Course
About
Stewart Peninsula offers a nine-hole golf course along Lake Lewisville with dual greens on every hole. On the first round, you'll play from the red tees to the red flags, and on the back you'll go yellow to yellow. After a straightforward opening hole where the only real problem is a pesky fairway bunker, nos. 2 and 3 start a trend of interesting holes. No. 2 offers completely different looks from each set of tees. The right side pin placement presents problems because of the lake, and the left flag rests close to greenside mounding that will send balls bounding afar. Misses here should find the bunkers, as the recovery is not all that difficult from the sand. Stewart Peninsula's third hole is probably the signature, and a 250-yard drive will put you in prime position to go at the multi-tiered green. Avoid missing back right, as the up-and-down is especially difficult from that side.

I like it
I like playing this course. I am not the best golfer and I enjoy playing here to get my practice. There are challenging holes and I love the location by the lake. The people are so friendly and the fees are good. I often play by myself which I don’t mind and they don’t either! I don’t mind playing with strangers but sometimes I need to focus…. Some of the greens are being repaired but normally they are in good shape. I also like that I can get a tee time in the evenings.
Greens are terrible
By the end of the round, you just said call it a 2-putt and move on. Some greens were 90% dirt. They said they are about to "fix it", but currently it wasn't worth playing.
Great Course
More of a heads up. It’s very windy being right off the lake. Luckily most of the wind was straight with us or against us, not much cross wind. Par was 66 which I wasn’t expecting, but no issues with that.
The only criticism I really have were that the greens were in really bad shape. I think they said it was from the freeze back in February.
Good course.
Greens hurt because of the horrible freeze last winter but they are getting there and trying hard to get them back. Course in shape.
Two chief complaints are that it is a 9 hole course you play twice, which I didnt particularly like after playing it, and the greens were in very rough shape.
Great for beginners
This is not a tough course which is excellent for beginners or if someone is working on a particular part of their game. The greens are in rough shape but they are aware and expecting sod soon. Overall, you couldn’t ask for nicer people at the small clubhouse and a pretty course with trees and a lake.
It was an okay course
Staff was nice, good wardens were kinda pushy about making you play a different whole since the pace of play was so bad. Not sure if it was just cuz the rain the prior day but got there early and couldn’t go on the driving range. Cart path only which made pace of play slower. Greens weren’t in good conditions
Lake Views
This course could be a pretty neat little 9 hole course if someone put some money into it. Nice views of the lake however the greens were horrible. There is no way they should charge more than $15 to play this course in its present condition. We paid for 18 ( play it twice ) and quit after 9. It was that bad.
Challenging
Very challenging 9 hole course. Very friendly staff. Was stuck behind a slow 4some for the first 9 but enjoyed the round. Greens have not yet recovered from the freeze. Will continue to visit this course for the challenge alone.
Basically a Field
Respectfully, this course is in horrible condition. Every green was 50% dirt and rough. The grass was not cut down and in some places was even several inches tall.
Greens are in horrible condition
Very disappointed with the green condition. Could not go ahead of 4th green. Also, fairways were not dried and having cart marks.
Nice Course/Poor Visit
Awesome course; this time around about 70% of the greens were burnt and few of the fairways were flooded. If not for that, it is really nice for a nine hole.
Beautiful play on the water!
This course is set right on the water which is a rare treat in DFW. It's only 9 holes that you play twice from two different tee boxes and flags for each hole. Which was a bit confusing at times but the scenic play makes it worth it. The course itself was in great shape but their green's need some serious work as they were almost all half dead grass so not a great putting surface. 10 out of 10 for DFW views.
