Stewart Peninsula Golf Course
About
Stewart Peninsula offers a nine-hole golf course along Lake Lewisville with dual greens on every hole. On the first round, you'll play from the red tees to the red flags, and on the back you'll go yellow to yellow. After a straightforward opening hole where the only real problem is a pesky fairway bunker, nos. 2 and 3 start a trend of interesting holes. No. 2 offers completely different looks from each set of tees. The right side pin placement presents problems because of the lake, and the left flag rests close to greenside mounding that will send balls bounding afar. Misses here should find the bunkers, as the recovery is not all that difficult from the sand. Stewart Peninsula's third hole is probably the signature, and a 250-yard drive will put you in prime position to go at the multi-tiered green. Avoid missing back right, as the up-and-down is especially difficult from that side.

Stewart Peninsula after the Freeze
While the lake level around Stewart Peninsula is very high, and encroached on a few of the holes, the course was still enjoyable to play, with one exception: all the greens have dead spots (from the February freeze, I’m sure), making accurate putting very difficult. This is still a good, enjoyable course to play, and a good value, as well.
Good course
The course was challenging and right off the lake. Enjoyed playing the holes. You play the same holes twice on 18 but different green placement. Would recommend to anyone.
Bad Winter
Some greens barely had any grass but could be due tot he harsh winter. Should of researched more, you play the same 9 with different greens.
It's Different for Sure, but Nice
This course is a 9-hole course that is played twice for the full 18-hole round. Each tee box has two tees and each green has two holes. It was different, but the course was really pretty on the lake and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Pricing was really reasonable for the course and it was actually a interesting set-up. Good course for a quick 18-hole day.
Quick round but the greens are rough and very slow.
Quick round this morning the pro shop people were friendly and the round was only 3.5 hours. The greens could really use some work along with the tee boxes. Fairways look nice right now
Nice little double 9 course
Surrounded by Lake Lewisville and all fairways drift right. 9 hole played twice around. Not a bombers course so makes you dig into the bag, and really just work on overall distance and direction control. I liked it. Teed off at 0745, can see it backing up if tee off late, because of the 9 hole double Tee layout.
It was meh
I would definitely it go again and I truly believe they need to lower there price. It’s really a par 3 golf course that is not worth your time or money. It could be great for maybe a golfer who is just starting.
Course Review
This was my 5 time to ever play a round of Golf and the 2nd time at this course.
This is a nicely hidden style Golf Course. I am still new to the game and enjoy playing this course. I will say the tee boxes are still very hard. It is near the lake, so the view is awesome.
We had a few times we were having to wait to tee off due to the pace of the 2 groups in front of us. We got a little late start as we had to wait for another cart to be cleaned for us, which wasn't a big deal but thought that would have prevented the back-up later.
Our group still enjoyed the day and had a great time.
The price is great for me as a beginner so I will be back playing this course.
Can’t beat the atmosphere
This is the best bang for the buck in the metroplex. Long holes, gorgeous views and challenging course but not overly crazy challenging. Granted some of the greens can be rough, but then again, I didn’t pay $100 plus for my round of golf. So keep that in mind. If you want a perfectly meticulous course, dig in your pocket and pay for it. Nonetheless, the views here are fantastic.
