Cabo San Lucas Country Club

Since my cart tour of Cabo San Lucas Country Club in 2012, the club has made some solid strides. The new water treatment system is up and running, two new holes have replaced less enticing holes along the road and the new restaurant/bar built next to the pro shop looks great. Condition-wise, the course is a step down from all the high-end golf in Cabo. That saves the locals and tourists who love the place lots of dough. It's a stern test of 6,581 yards from the white tees. I suggest stepping up to the 6,186-yard gold tees to have more fun. The new par-4 holes - no. 10 and 11 - by Californian David Fleming don't look anything like the rest of the course. Fleming shaped massive humps and bunkers in the fairways and built ginormous greens. The back nine views from there look out at cruise ships docked in the bay. Five of the final six holes feature water, so don't get too distracted.

We had a great time. The course was fairly challenging. Would definitely be a long day to walk because some holes were quite a distance from each other. (We usually walk.) The only issue was that I was more than double charged for golf club rental and purchase of golf balls.

Fairways are very good. Greens and tee boxes are not. No GPS on carts. Spend the extra money and play other local courses.

We were going to golf somewhere else and our plans changed. So we went here. We aren't the best golfers and Cabo golf is super expensive. This was enough bang for our bucks. We had a nice day. No cart person to serve drinks and snacks and no rangers anywhere but we had water bottles on the cart. They don't have USB ports to charge or GPS either. It was fine and if we golf a lot next time we will come back.

Good course, fun layout, good driving range balls included. Qi35 stiff rentals in great shape but booked these in advance via direct email. Only two complaints: not much shade on course requested extra water on hole 14 did not arrive, got very hot on the back 9. Greens were way slower than expected, putting especially. Long irons would plug and spin back if you hit the green.

I’m only a 10.1 handicap. Nothing special. I’m in my 60’s and love to play. I have never played a course where greens were this inconsistent. Some furry, some play like glass, others are hard as a rock and some the ball plugs deep. The greens added at least 8 strokes to my game. I shot an 82 so this tells anyone the course is actually easy. Wide open fairways. I play 6500 yards normally so the blending of black and silver give you the player rating. Would I recommend? No, not at $275 USD. No breakfast was provided but was supposed to be included. Disappointed

Range and putting area need a lot of work.

The course layout is good and it’s relatively challenging if you’re not a long ball hitter.

Greens could use some work but rolled pretty well. Bunkers are very coarse sand, compacted and with lots of pebbles…..hard and clubs and not very consistent.

While there are much nicer courses in the area this one was not a bad price and I’d go back when the time is right.

The course was in poor condition I will pay the additional money to play the other courses in Cabo San Lucas next time.

i especially liked the back 9 , greens were in great shape

your drinks were pricey... something I would expect on a $400-500 a round course.

Club House and Range needs improvements.

I requested rental - they extremely poor condition.

Course need a lot yardage markers

Pace of play was good on front nine - slower on the back. Finished in 4:15. Bermuda fairways is less forgiving than what we play up north. Greens were in ok shape.
