Great Course
It was great but almost unplayable due to a constant 30 mph wind off the Pacific but that is the weather this time of year. Thats why I still gave it 5 stars. But be ready for a difficult day if scoring is your goal.
It is an ocean course. Much wind like Kiawah
Wiiiindy
Great course, first time playing in a desert/dunes course. Wind royally messed with my game unfortunately but it did keep me cool! Caddies/attendants assured me we were "lucky" with the wind. Course itself was in great shape, fairly straight forward hole layout, couple interesting holes and the island green was very cool. Facilities were outstanding, hit a comfort station twice per nine, washrooms were impeccable. Rentals weren't cheap but they were Taylormade Qi10s with the right flex and decent wedge gaps which I was impressed at being as I'm a lefty. Putter wasn't my fav but I'm gaming a Scotty at home. Views were great and definitely took some tee box videos.
Beautiful Course but…
The course condition, layout and location is truly spectacular. We faced a 30-40 mph steady wind throughout the round which presented a lot of issues. Apparently May is that way there though it certainly is not reflected in their green fees.
I will go as far to say that the staff and some of the course ‘rules’ are a severe liability. We played Solmar last year and agreed to come back this year however we will not return again. #1 complaint - they do not let Uber drivers onto the property. You will need to take a private car or a very expensive taxi. If in a private car, the staff and 3 guard stations seem to harass the drivers and the attendants will do the same to you assuming you sneaked in an Uber. #2 complaint - we belong to a fairly exclusive country club and my wife was wearing an expensive 1-piece golf dress, my daughter a 2-piece, both of which are broadly accepted in our club. My wife and daughter were told that their attire did not meet course standards and we were required to buy new tops at over $150 or not play. #3 complaint - on the 16th green, my wife realized she left her 8-iron (rented) green-side after using it to chip on a prior hole. She remembered she used it for a bump-and-run but not which hole on the back. The course has many several hundred yard runs from green to tee and navigating it in reverse is a challenge for those with low course knowledge. When we got back to the club, I told the attendants what happened and they told me that I had to go find it. So after about $900 on green fees, rental clubs and proper attire purchases, I also had to go track down a left club. There foresomes back had it.
Beautiful scenic golf course
Just stunning views and pristine golf course. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in perfect shape. It was very challenging due to highwinds but the course is fair and not overly narrow
Excellent
Exactly what you’d expect for Cabo golf on the coast. Excellent
Beautiful course
Beautiful course. We played as a 2 some in the early afternoon. We didn't run into anyone and played in about 3:15. Course is beautiful, greens were a bit slow. Challenging course near the ocean. GREAT practice facility. It is expensive. But nice. If you can afford it, play it. There was virtually no one there, not a place people were hanging out to eat or drink (or play golf!)
Sweeping views!
Most of the holes have ocean views that were spectacular.
The only negative thing I can say is that is a newer course.
There is no shade at all. Bring sunscreen. Had a 7:30 tee time and by 10 we were baking.. but overall, will be back!
prefect conditions
no wind today; so it was perfect!!! whale watching and golf in a perfect setting!! I've played this course several times and today's pace of play was slow albeit that was the first time I've experienced slow play on this course... even with comfort stations the pace is usually less than 4.5 hrs
Batten down the hatches!
This is a fun course with beautiful views. Very breezy the day we played so unsure if that is the norm but definitely had an impact on our club selection, ball flight and our (elevated) scores. I would recommend to a friend but with so many other choices to play along the Los Cabos corridor, I’m not sure I would come back.
Outstanding course
Course was in great shape! The tamales Muy deliciosa!
Bring your wallet
Great course - Sept is tough weather month, 85F + 80% humidity. I did get a discounted rate from Golfnow but players that went to the TS presentation had a much lower rate. Regarding your wallet, bring balls and your glove as this cost me $80. Overall I would like play there again. Last note, there are five Tee Box levels that can make this course crazy long - one hole from the tips was 630 yrds.
All included
The course is fantastic! The sea views are gorgeous and several along the fairways and greens.
A good news is that all food and drinks are included during the 18 holes. There are two snack points that are very well made and full of options.
Stunning views
Not only was the course views were stunning the layout was excellent. The course had quite a nice range to warm up tight before tee off. Playing on the course had its challenges especially with the wind but it was a well welcomed challenge. I highly recommend anyone staying/visiting Mexico checking this course out you will not regret it.
Great facility and course!
Challenging winds but beautiful course and made for a fun day!
