About
Located in Nuevo Vallarta, El Tigre Club de Golf enjoys views that stretch to the western Sierra Madre. The design team of Robert Von Hagge, Mike Smelek, and Rick Baril transformed what used to be a flat piece of land into a lush, tropical paradise. Nine water features were added, which come into play on 12 holes, and the terrain was molded and contoured to provide interesting elevation changes. The golf course's proximity to the ocean means that it is also subject to strong prevailing winds, especially in the early evening. The course finishes with two of its most difficult holes. El Tigre Club de Golf's par-3 17th has plenty of sand and water in play to prepare you for the beastly par-5 finishing hole. This 621-yard monster is practically a par 6 with water down the entire left side and a green surrounded by sand.

Excellent value
Course is great but be prepared for delays accessing the private community. Reception staff indifferent to visitors.
Great staff
All personnel are very friendly and do their jobs professionally. The course is challenging and is reasonably maintained. Look forward to playing it again.
Nice Vaca Course
El Tigre is a good quality vacation course...challenging layout, in good condition. Greens are in good shape. Not super fast but putt ok. Lots of water and sand. Twilight or Golfnow rates makes it a better value.
Nice Course
Good course. Check in was a bit disorganized but course layout is fantastic. Most holes penalize you with distance for playing safe so if you’re not feeling confident it plays a bit long. Lots of water and many bunkers. Every hole has high end homes. Gated community. Pace was decent for the most part. Unlimited range.

Like most courses in Mexico it is very expensive. Nice track and service was great!
Love this course every time
Second round at El Tigre this trip and we got smoked deal on Golf Now to boot. Course is always in great shape and the staff is fantastic.
Can’t wait to come back next year.
Good fun
Very nice layout with some challenging holes and tough par 3’s. The course is fun to play with many water holes and lots of sand traps. I will be playing it again.
No shortage of water
Challenging layout with water in play on more than half the holes. Nice layout with large speedy greens. When the wind is up you can add 1-2 clubs on the par 3’s
One of our favorite in Puerto Vallarta
El tigrea is a must play every time we com to PV. Not because I got a Hole in one the first time I played either. but I did, and the staff all signed an El tigre flag, which is now framed in my home. the course is perfect with multiple tee boxes to accommodate almost any skill level. the pace of play as always been very good, and this year just over 3 hours. We were allowed to go a little early as the play was ahead of schedule. Staff is always accommodating regardless of ask. Cart people are also fantastic, and some how know exactly when to arrive. Rest Rooms perfectly located and very clean and nice.
If you read this far, you must know, we love the El Tigre, and will likely play it again this week while we are here.
Golf Nuevo Vallarta
The course was in great shape and the pace of play was very fast .we were allowed to go out ahead of our tee time and since we had already hit more than enough range balls we were ready. Cart service was friendly and prompt but not pestering. The course is located very close to all the hotels, it was less than a 10 minute cab ride from ours.

Beautiful course
Play there its beautiful , courses surrounded with beautiful house.
Bring your sand game!
Excellent fun, accuracy is key. The course was plugged about 3 weeks ago, and the greens still have some sand, not perfect but getting better. Club rental is about $60. US each. Very nice clubs for rentals. Staff was terrific, good English and easy to communicate with about typical golf issues. Oh, we are not that good, so highly recommend you have plenty of golf balls!
