Palmilla Golf Club - The Ocean/Arroyo Course
About
Jack Nicklaus designed the 27-hole course at the One&Only Palmilla Golf Club. The golf course is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The courses wind through endless cacti and through deep arroyos, a landscape that Nicklaus fully utilized. He gave each a unique character, naming them after their defining characteristics. The Ocean/Arroyo Course starts you off with incredible views of the shimmering blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. Each hole on the front nine offers a different, but equally scenic view of the ocean. The gently sloping Ocean nine has large greens that can be tricky but they are balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The back nine features more dramatic elevation changes, especially on the intimidating 16th hole, which plays alongside a deep and foreboding arroyo.

The ocean nine might be the most scenic of the three loops at Palmilla. Photo submitted by JasonDeeganGA on 02/12/2014
Worth every penny of the $80 green fees via GolfNow
Beautiful course and well maintained. I played the Arroyo course first and it was awesome. The Ocean course had a tougher layout for the first time visitor as there are some targets to be hit to keep the ball in play. I played it in 10 strokes over the front 9 score due to lost balls or ob.
simply outstanding
My son and I played weekday twilight rate at 12:00 Noon excellant value pace of play excellant. A super experiance. played twice One of my favorite courses.
