Marina Vallarta Golf Club is known for its stunning tropical landscape that is home to an abundance of wildlife. Golfers have the opportunity to play amongst iguanas and alligators while enjoying scenic views of the Bay of Banderas. The course is blessed with a bevy of natural hazards including towering palm trees, lagoons, and waterfalls. Colorful tropical flowers and native vegetation further accent the landscape. In addition to the natural hazards, there are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The golf course offers a challenging but fair test that is not overly demanding, which is probably for the best since it is easy to get distracted by the beautiful surroundings. Given its versatility and scenery, Marina Vallarta G.C. has become a popular venue for various golfing events, including the Governor's Cup Pro/Am Tournament.

Local course in Puerto Vallarta

this is the local course for us. The conditions are fine, except the bunkers are hard as rock and full of stones. Greens are nice, unfortunately, since many tourists play here players tend not to fix ball marks. Many, many crocodiles on the course, but they are mostly inactive, but I would not go too near the water.

Watch how you pay

Nice course again, professional staff. We got stung on the bill by asking for the round price in pesos. They simply took the US dollar price and multiplied by a conversion 30% higher than the current rate. Cost the two of us $100 extra. Quite the rip off.

Nice layout, good value

First time at this course, nice layout, good shape, attentive staff. Pace of play a bit slow but not unacceptable. Lovely clubhouse and dining facility on the premises. Will be back.

Play there if you like Crocodiles!

A decent course in Marina area, lots of wild life and I saw at least 15-20 crocodiles. One was blocking my cart's path while enjoying the sun on a bridge. Some local golfer following me helped me and moved this creature to the lake. Course was not maintained well.

Golfing in January

2nd round of the year on our hot holiday. The course had a few holes that were dug up because of maintenance on the irrigation system. Greens were beat up because people didn't repair thier ball marks. On the plus side the views were excellent, lots of crocs, nice ocean view. Beverage carts were readily available. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely consider playing again

Marina Vallarta

Haven’t played the Marina course in at least a dozen years.

It was a lot of fun to play once again.

The greens have been re done recently and are in great shape.

Pace of play was good. Staff were all friendly.

Lots of wildlife to be seen, especially the iguanas and cocodrilos !

Marina Vallarta Club de Golf

The best feature of the golf course are the greens. Back 9 was completely redone earlier this year and were in pristine condition, although, very slow. The course was almost empty… No one in front of us and no one behind so it was like having our own private course at this time of the year!

Challenging

Greens were in excellent condition. Fairways had a lot of debris and dry in spots.

Marina Vallarta Club de Golf

As I said in my previous review, the greens were the best feature of the course. I just found out from a friend of mine that you had redone the back nine this year and while the greens were pristine, they were slower than I would like.

The sand traps were also great… Well maintained in the sand, while somewhat course, were easy to get out of… Second best feature!

I enjoyed playing the course and would certainly recommend it to others!

Marina Vallarta Club de Golf

The greens were the best feature of the golf course. I understand they were recently redone, and they were in pristine condition, although somewhat slow.

We played in 30° temperature, high humidity felt like 37° so that was tiring for an 83-year-old and 76 year-old! 😳😂

I had high expectation but disappointed

I didn't realize the course was in bad shape. Not becauseit rained the night before. Only front 9 was playable. Course is not well maintained. Not all amenities were available, even the range. My first time and wont go back.
