Marina Vallarta Golf Club

I played with two other golfers. We were finished in four hours so the pace was reasonable. The course has new greens on the first ten holes. They were very receptive to shots, maybe a bit firm. I hit several shots to the back of the green that found the water. That's one thing in abundance on this course. Anyway, I had a fun time. I'll be back.

Have played this score several times and I keep asking myself why I go back. Proximity is the answer to where we stay in Puerto Vallarta, but this course is in fair shape at best. The greens were furry… Very slow. The layout is more than challenging… And not necessarily fair. Pay $200 per person for a 9 AM teatime… Played the front nine in two hours which was great and that quickly turned into a five hour round with nothing but wait times on every tee on the back nine. The course is Marshalled but obviously they don’t do anything about it. After check-in was asked if I wanted some water and I said yes… That’ll be six dollars please. I just paid you $200 green fee and now you want three dollars for a bottle of water… Come on.

For the price this course was terrible. Played more like a county municipal course in the states. Fairways were torn up and were weed plagued. The course was backed up all round and the marshal kept pushing us to pick up pace, only to be stuck at the tee box with the group ahead of us. He came by 3 times to tell us to go faster, but there was nothing we could do.

Oh, and the crocodiles are no joke. Huge and numerous, just hanging out in the course next to the water.

I recommend you pay a few more dollars and pick a better course.

We were the first ones to tee off. It was definitely a great experience beautiful golf course. All the greens are well taken care of the views are spectacular. It’s definitely a little pricey, but it’s worth your buck especially when you’re golfing in Mexico oceanside view. I also rented out the clubs brand tailor-made. Definitely going to be be back for another round on my next vacation

Fun golf course. Love the views, love the wildlife!!

Don’t wast your $ on this course. Try other ones with a much better overall experience, Among the five courses we played in PV. This turned out to be the worst one (Higuera #1, Vista #2, Tiger #3, Nayar #4). The course is not long, but the design is tricky. The fairway is narrow and lot of waters. The course needs some TLC. One of the holes was near a waste treatment area and smiles stinky. Lots of bare lands with no grass. I was very disappointed. Will not return to this one.

Course was Ok! Way overpriced for the quality of the course as Fairways had a lot of dead spots and the Greens were ok as they were replaced earlier in the year. The front nine and back nine greens were different speeds! I would never pay this much to play this course again!

It is a very challenging course for higher handicap golfers with many bunkers and water around some of the greens. However still an enjoyable experience with very friendly staff for us Canadians who have to go back to winter!! Thank you!!!
