Marina Vallarta Golf Club

We played this course twice on our vacation to Puerto Vallarta. It was a fun course with some challenges.

Staff really didn't wan Golf Now people and the course was not well maintained.

Enjoy playing this course but got stuck behind a foursome that delayed us to only get 9 holes in 3 hours!

This is our second time playing this course. It is challenging, but also so convenient to our resort.

Pretty lay out, Lots of doglegs. Course was in pretty good condition.. first time playing it was

A little tough, lots of target golf . Saw lots of crocodile on the water holes… over all a fun day

Of golf.. I would play it again

Only complaint was that they kept sending out singles and twosomes behind us. We had 3 in our group, and they put a single with us on the first tee. Fortunately, the guy dropped when his buddies showed up. Seems logical they could have paired some of those other groups to smooth out the pace of play and not make us feel rushed to stay ahead of them.

If you are on holidays in Puerto Vallarta,in the North American ‘winter time’ then there isn’t much to complain about.

Having said that,the course is enduring its dry season at this time. The grass is dormant in spots and plain dried out in others. As a bonus,the ball will run out further to make for lack of distance you may find at sea level courses. The layout is tricky but not overly challenging if you are an 80’s or less player. An added bonus is wildlife! There’s a natural crocodile area on course, so you see some neat wildlife! Along with an array of birds and iguanas. Bottom line: it’s worth doing once but that’s it.

This golf course is in dire need of a refresh and a map to outline where you go Easy to get lost so many crosses into residential areas. The wildlife were plentiful Needs all the signage at each hole redone as cannot see them . Great photography on this course and the crocodiles were not a problem Do not search for lost balls

I really enjoyed my round at Marina Vallarta. The best feature of the course is it’s design. The holes are varied and interesting. I would say that the condition of the fairways and greens were good, but not great, but that the greens were excellent. The course is not too long from the whites, good for an oldster like me. A good challenge, but fair. I will be back!
