Marina Vallarta Golf Club is known for its stunning tropical landscape that is home to an abundance of wildlife. Golfers have the opportunity to play amongst iguanas and alligators while enjoying scenic views of the Bay of Banderas. The course is blessed with a bevy of natural hazards including towering palm trees, lagoons, and waterfalls. Colorful tropical flowers and native vegetation further accent the landscape. In addition to the natural hazards, there are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The golf course offers a challenging but fair test that is not overly demanding, which is probably for the best since it is easy to get distracted by the beautiful surroundings. Given its versatility and scenery, Marina Vallarta G.C. has become a popular venue for various golfing events, including the Governor's Cup Pro/Am Tournament.

Better Courses in the Area

Played several courses in PV over a span of days and this course was by far the most disappointing. Course wasn’t in great condition...so for the price It wasn’t worth it. Add to that I rented clubs and the clubs were also a bit aged for the cost. Just wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent course!

The course had tons of alligators and narrow fairways on the front 9. Back 9 was easier. Course was great. Clubhouse had a good vibe and snack cart had ample snacks

Absolutely love this course. Lots of wildlife including cocodrillos. The staff are always happy and friendly. The chille rellenos are the best we ever had.

I did not get to play a round but I did eat in the clubhouse restaurant. I concur with Golfer Girl.....the chile relleno is the best ever!

Great greens!!

Enjoyed a great day at Marina Vallarta GC. Staff were excellent throughout. Greens the best we’ve played ever. Nice challenging layout. Would help with GPS on the carts. Beware greens were fast, so practice before versus hitting drive! Restaurant food and drinks were fabulous.

Enjoyable

Due to Covid the range is closed so only chipping and putting available. Only 50 players per day allowed to play.

I played solo and fast. All done in 2hrs 30 mins.

Greens and fairways perfect. Staff friendly and helpful.

Drinks available but a little pricey. Discounted tee time after 2.00 pm but no online booking right now.

Exotic golfing

After hitting three balls out of sand on the first hole and losing one to the alligator habitat on the third, I enjoyed the variety and feel of the course. At times it was like a stroll through an ocean side botanical gardens. Challenging enough for me and very scenic.
