About
Vista Vallarta Golf Club offers two championship courses, one designed by Jack Nicklaus and the other by Tom Weiskopf. The Weiskopf Course provides a dramatically different round from the Nicklaus design. The other golf course sits atop the property's highest elevation while this one is situated at the lower west end. As you step onto the course and see the dense jungles that sprawl across deep ravines, you will hardly believe that it is still the same property. It offers the same level of challenge as the Nicklaus Course but some high handicappers prefer this one since there are fewer blind shots and the greens are more receptive, making them not quite as tricky. The 15th is an uphill par 3 that is probably the golf course's most memorable hole. This challenging hole requires a carry past a ravine to multi-tiered green that is surrounded by bunkers on all sides.

Picture perfect
Beautiful views,well manicured one of the best courses I have played
Best offering in PV
We played 1 day after the Adidas Pro Am. The course is fantastic. We had played Marina Vallarta, El Tigre and Vidanta earlier. The Weisfopf course was the best of the bunch. The course is located closer to the mountains and the topography is much more interesting. The course has some nice elevation changes and a number of arroyos and gulches to play over. The condition was very good and greens rolled well with the grain on every green growing toward the ocean. We were the only ones there and played comfortably in 2:45. We would play here again, I think the place is deserted due to the price. Hot deal was 125 + tax US

Best layout in the area with the most amazing staff. Always a pleasure going back

Recently sanded greens. Unfamiliar with Bermuda fairways.

Great course off the beaten path
If you're not afraid to venture off resort, this is a must play at least once. It was unfortunate that the course was cart path only due to a hurricane that came through, but the course was in great shape. No homes or hotels around. Just you and the surrounding landscape. Staff and cart person was super cool. Alma makes the absolute best scratch margaritas. Greens were in great shape rolling around a 10+.
Weiskoph - Early morning - Empty and amazing
Such a great course, greens were true, course is extremely well kept & there is noone around. Got through in 2.5 hours with just myself and my wife driving the cart. Would recommend to anyone coming to the area
Aerated greens
When I arrived, the person at the pro shop desk asked if I was told that the greens had been aerated two weeks before and that they were not healed yet. She also told me that the Nicklaus course was closed for aeration. I replied that I was not aware of the situation. Golf Now should have alerted me. Since I had already spent $25 on cab fare to get there, I went ahead and played. I expected more for the price of $159. Loved the course and the layout. Golf Now should have done better. It’s obvious now that there was a reason that my friend and I were the only people on the course.
Nice but over priced
The course is nice but not worth the money paid to play there. Had I not been on vacation I would not of played there for the price.
