Very poor condition for $65
Save your money, go to a public course in Fort Worth
Hidden Gem
Great turn around. Great day , staff upbeat.
Greens in good shape. No complaints.
Will play more games here. Great practice area.
Good Course for good players
Plays long, requires using all 14 clubs. No a Driver and wedge course. 7300+ from Black tees, good place for good players to test their game. Greens rolling great.
not worth the money
Greens were in good shape fairways were thin. For first time player on the course, it was very difficult to figure out where to hit the tee shot. No senior rates on Fridays and Troon website never mentioned that.
Nice course, but not in the best shape
The course looked like it was suffering the effects of a hot and dry Texas summer. The fairways and greens were in good shape overall, but a lot of areas were dead and being repaired.
One small detail that I thought could have easily been better were the ball washes. Almost everyone I tried to use was completely dry. It shouldn't be that hard to keep water in ball washes but it's a little detail that could easily have been better.
Good track but bad conditions.
The course is a fun track with some interesting features including a train car at a tee box. Carts are new but no GPS. This could be a great course, but the conditions are horrible. The fairways are replete with bare spots, and several greens had the same issue. Some greens were in good condition; and when they were, they were great, so there is good potential.
Beware that there are no bathrooms out on the course, but there were plenty of water stations.
Club house looks nice but the men’s bathroom smelled horrible and was not clean. Called ahead for lunch and it was ready for us at the turn. Staff was friendly.
I wouldn’t play again unless conditions improved greatly.
Great course
This is my new course close to home. Enjoy playing every chance I get.
Nice & improving
The course has improved since I last played it about a month earlier. Greens are better and they’ve seeded some problem fairways. Plentiful drinking water out on the course also.
Great course
Surprised by how amazing the fairways and greens were. Course and clubhouse very professional.
Greens are good and getting better, rolling very smooth. Fairways are improving as well, best playing conditions in a year and getting better. Course is challenging and fun to play improvements are obvious.
Not worth the $
Course was in terrible condition. I’ve been out here years ago, it’s like they gave up on most of the course.
Greens continue to improve, noticeable effort to make them great. New carts are nice, staff is superb.
Punched Greens - Overall Poor Conditions
I've played Split Rail 15-20 times and enjoy the layout. However, the conditions of the course right now are horrible. Greens were punched a few weeks ago and are still slow and bouncy. There are bald spots on nearly every fairway and the weeds in the rough have taken over.
