The Golf Club at Dove Mountain - Wild Burro/Saguaro
About
Nestled in the desert foothills of the Tortolita Mountain Range, the 27 holes at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain feature dramatic elevation changes and stunning views. The three nines were all designed by Jack Nicklaus and are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Wild Burro/Saguaro golf course combines Nicklaus' favorite nine, Wild Burro, with the front nine of the Accenture Match Play Championship. The golf course features intricately contoured greens and carefully placed fairway bunkers. The course plays through canyons and desert washes covered in centuries-old Saguaro cacti. The third, fourth and fifth holes on the Wild Burro nine are notably challenging with the third featuring an "island green" standing amidst sand and cacti.

Amazing Golf experience
The course and staff were on point. The course was tough but fair and the greens were undulating and challenging. You would need to play it a few times to figure out where to place your shots. I will definitely play again.
Very tough greens
A nice layout, not a lot of topography, but rolling fairways and multi-undulation greens. Also, most greens are huge, so a 75 ft + putt might be common.....located in the foothills of the Tortolitta Mountains, very scenic, a fun day .
Good course, lousy cart fee
The course was in excellent shape. We played the Tortilla and Wild Burro. The greens were challenging with all the undulations., but putt able. Didn't like the "Shark Experience". A fee to rent the cart. It had music, sports, blue tooth, ect on it. Don't need all that when you play golf. Eliminate all the frivolous stuff, and keep the gps.
Steady favorite..
I can only start to afford to play this course this time of year lol but I fell in love with all three layouts last summer. Practice Areas are all well maintained and staff inside and out are always friendly. Super windy today but still had fun playing despite it.I love the SHARK EXPERIENCE with the bluetooth speakers, this was the first time using it and loved it. And the in cart gps with hole layout and hazards is also great for figuring out layup distances. All in all my favorite course out here in the Tucson area..
Such great course
This was my first time playing this course and I couldnot have enjoyed it anymore than I did. The layout is great and is fair for all levels! I can not wait to play here again!
Great location, fun layout, big course
Always fun to play this course. Beautiful setting, nice layout challenging greens. A little in between rye and Bermuda grasses so not in top condition.
Pace of play slow, not managed by facility.
Silly surcharge for Greg Norman Experience, turned off volume.
Overall an enjoyable experience.
Beautiful Golf Course
I have been looking forward to playing this course and it certainly lived up to my expectations. I found it quite comfortable playing shots off the fairways and from the semi rough. I’d like to play it again sometime when I hope to read the greens better. The only downside was the number of pitch marks not repaired.
sand trap oasis
this is the first time playing this course. I have never seen so many sand traps in my life. There was a lot of sand in them but there were really wet just under the top. The traps were located in all the key places to make it really tough. If you knew the course it would help. Course was really tough because of all the sand traps. I was in about 10 of them. It was a tough day. Most of them were off the tee. I usually hit about 260 yds. That seems to be exactly where the traps were.
Good day golfing.
Good round of golf. Course in good shape. Pace of play was good. There were very few people playing this day and time. Tee time was 11:40. But we teed off 11:15. It was sunny and warm, and a nice breeze. Played this course because of good deal I got. Would not pay full price to play this course. I do have one major complaint. Its the Shark experience. If someone wants it, let them pay for it. Do not make it a mandatory fee. I want to play golf and socialize with my playing partners, not listen to music. I know it's a feature to attract golfers. $5 is not a lot of money, but is a un-necessary additional expense and a poor business decision. I have talked to many golfers about this since last Fall and everyone has expressed disappointment with this feature. I believe that there are more golfers turned off with this feature than it attracts. Again, a poor business decision.
If you play this course, please express your displeasure at check in with this feature.
Great Course
While a little more expensive than some of the other courses in town, it is well worth the extra money. The fairways and greens are extremely well maintained though the greens are a little inconsistent between the three nines.
Traps have lots of sand to work with and are well placed to challenge any golfer..
Enjoy!
Beautiful
This place is wonderful to golf. Course in great shape staff very friendly and helpful. Only bummer was the snack shake wasn’t opened to get food and drinks
Cart fee
I was under the assumption that the cart was included but we were charged a $5 cart fee each when we arrived. Also the add on Shark Experience is a joke and really worth zero. GPS on cart was inaccurate reading both long and short and perhaps worst of all there were no stations with ice or cold water on this desert course. Not worth even the hot deal fee.
Golf at dove mountain
Beautiful grounds and beautiful surroundings but the most different course I have played.
A Course Not To Miss
This was the most picturesque course with every hole having lots of interest and plenty of challenge. Just a fabulous golfing experience and would highly recommend it!
