About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Golfer Reviews
Great time
Staff at pro shop were excellent . Appreciate all the friendly welcomes and look forward to coming back
Fast Green and sloping fairways
The greens are been reseed and fast, the fairways are hard to stop long drives. with lots of water crossing fairways.

The rebound is complete!
The Grounds Staff and Management deserve a high five for bringing the greens back to such good condition.
We played in 3.5 hours and even let a threesome of seniors play thru because we lost something and had to go back. Saw the beverage cart several times.
(If you guys ever need help covering the greens just put the word out and our golf community will respond asap.)

Too Many on Course
The past 2-3 times we've played Whitestone, the number of golfers on course made play very slow and most golfers have no consideration anymore for players backed up behind them. Three (3) hours to complete 11 holes. Way too slow.
Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and to best control pace allowing everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. Thank you for playing Whitestone Golf Course. We hope to see you again soon.

Whitestone
I got there about the time that I was due for my Tee Time. I was six minutes early and was ready to grab the golf cart and be down there for my 7:42 Tee Time.
The pro at the desk said we were late even though I would’ve been able to be on the Teebox at 7:42. Then once we got down the peacekeeper was frustrated with us because they decided to move us to 750. After being ready to go three minutes before 750 they sent the group that we were supposed to play with off and were frustrated that we were not five minutes early but three minutes early. After playing here six times already I thought that being there right on time was good but apparently you need to be there 10 to 15 minutes early for everything. Other than that the course was kept in good condition. And we will definitely play this course again. My hope is that the staff is more friendly and excepting even if we happen to be right on time.
We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!

Disappointed
Too many temporary greens. Fairways are thin. Mowers followed my group on three of the first eight holes and were mowing next to the green as we tried to putt on #8.
Course personnel were very nice but no marshal to control pace of play.
Overall, disappointing.
Hi Tommy, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We understand your frustration with the temp greens, but you will be happy to know that as of September 3rd all 18 greens are reopened and healed up. Please some give us a try and check out the new greens!
Under new management

Whitestone
Most of the course is in fantastic condition. However … 7 holes had temporary greens. But from what I could see all 18 greens were playable. I don’t get it.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Whitestone Golf Course!
Beautiful Course!
I play in many different states and this is one of the nicest courses I have ever played. From the Tee boxes to the fairways and especially the greens were some of the best. Layout of the course has a little bit of everything for the beginner to the pros. I can’t wait to play this course again .
