About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

The wind won
We had a great time on a very warm day in Feb.
They cut down all the brush areas all over the course.
Bunkers are almost in championship condition.
Can't wait for spring!

golf carts
our cart was slow, very dirty and had NO tread on the tires.

Solid course
Fast greens and 25 mile an hour winds, but it was 70 degrees! People in front of us were dragging there feet. Jacked up multiple hole.

Good value for the money. Pro shop staff were very nice and pro shop was clean but have bad water irrigation for toilets and only (1) restroom on course only on front nine.

Ok course
Realize that it’s winter conditions but the fairways were cut a little thin. Greens were alright but we had to get a replacement cart twice during the round. Staff was friendly and the price was commensurate to the course. Had a few holes that were laid out a little odd but heck we’re outdoors in late December playing golf how bad could it be.

Ok course
Fairways are really thin, layout I has a few odd holes and we had 2 carts die on us. Staff is friendly and the food was good.

This course lacks much watering.
This is the second time to play in three weeks. Had cart stop both times with the last stopping on hole number 9 and then again on 11. We paid $50 you would think the cart could last the whole 18 holes not to mention the fairways lack much water. They hard as a rock.

Great course
Very enjoyable experience overall. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Range balls included with round. It’s a fun tract that is challenging and scenic. It’s a links-style course, so keeping it in the fairway is critical. Lots of well kept bunkers. Very fast greens that will still hold approach shots. Fairways are in good shape for this time of year. I will be back soon!

Fun track in good shape
This is a great layout in really good shape for this time of year. The fairways are in good shape and the greens are outstanding. One word of caution...the greens are fast, very fast. Staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.
