Whitestone Golf Course
About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Not a bad course.
Course in good shape . only saw beverage girl a couple of times. Other than that . All good.
Great course!
Loved the layout!!! Greens played great and looked great.
Great course
Play here often, great course only thing I would change is the bunkers. They are full of water or hard as concrete, overall a better course in the area.
Could be
Extremely windy day. Course has a great layout and greens in good shape...Lot's of TLC would enhance the experience as the carts haven't been washed in a week/month, Clubhouse held down by a posse of teenagers, (although they were respectful),and bunkers without sand- basically waste areas...With all this, the layout interesting and challenging...Could be a top tier public with some invested care....
Overall A Great Course
I have played this course many times and enjoy it. My only complaint is the sand traps are more like mud traps. There appears to be 0 maintenance on them or sand for that matter.
Great course
This is one of the better courses in the Ft Worth area. The pro shop staff is not the friendliest but the course is great!
Whitestone
Playing at Whitestone is enjoyable as the course is maintained well and not real busy. Been able to work on my game there and will continue to play here.
First time here
Greens and fairways very nice. Pace of play was awesome but I played during the week. Loved the layout of the course, many undulations . Only tiny issue, sand traps need more sand. Will play again very soon.
GREAT ROUND
Course is really good shape for this time of year. Not crowded which was awesome. Friendly staff I highly recommend this course!
Greens and bunkers
The greens were hard and fast. The bunkers were hard and need sand in them.
LookIng Good
Bunkers are getting there, everything else is perfect!
Good course
We always enjoy this course, greens are always in great shape, a good challenge and staff is always pleasant and friendly.
Late afternoon tee off
We teed off at 4:05 behind a single. Never saw him again after the first hole. Course was in great condition for October. Played all 18 holes before dark with a 3 some. Had a great time and will be back. Can't beat the hot deal price at this course.
Almost there
I played the course about 18 months ago and the course has improved quite a bit. The greens are in good condition - the fairways are now playable. The bunkers however are completely unplayable. They were bad the last time I played it but are worse now. The staff are doing some good work on the course, if they can get the bunkers playable the course would be in real good shape. That being said - for a $12 hot deal it's worth the money. It'll be a while before I'd be willing to pay full price though.
Hidden Jem
If this course was closer to where I live, I would play it 2-3 time a week. Great layout and fun to play.
Course Needs Help
1st time playing this course. Almost every Sand Trap was Unplayable with huge holes gravel and water in them. No one would want to walk this course because of distance between green and next tee. Score card needs help as so small print cant see #s of holes, not following N S E W, keep turning card to find out where you are, hard to see where creeks water are on map. Marshall allowed 5 some to play with 2 some's behind, Incredibly Slow Play.
I would say, I will not play course again for several years, so they can get the course totally playable.
Sorry guys but not worth the $25.00 paid.
Best thing was the gas carts which were clean and responsive w/Little lag time before moving forward without the jerking of gas carts.
Nice layout, greens are very good
Greens were very nice, fast and true. Fairways were in good condition. As others have posted, some areas are over watered and muddy but better to have fairways with grass on them. Now, the bunkers are absolutely horrendous, huge rocks, no sand, all dug out. Just go in knowing anytime you hit into a bunker, you are taking a course under repair drop out of them. They must be getting ready to redo them. Based on the bunkers, I would say this is only a $30 course max, they should drop their normal rate a little until they repair the bunkers.
Good Layout poorly maintained
I've played Whitestone before and I have enjoyed it. However, last time I played, the sand traps were not maintained at all. This was in spring, so I chalked it up to spring rains, but playing it again yesterday, the traps were still not maintained and the course was more mud than grass for excessive watering. Pace of play was great because not too many people were out there. Don't know what's going on at Whitestone because this is a good layout but somebody needs to invest in course maintenance otherwise before too long, it will be new houses.
WhiteStone
I have played this course quite a few times this season. I like how fair the tee boxes were. Greens are true, fast and smooth.
A good place to play to work on a handicap.
Will continue to play this course.
Course was good except for the bunkers! Most were unplayable greens in good shape
