good use of water. Greens in good shape.
The club house was neat and modern. SUNDAY the staff brought out a clean cart to the car.
The time time was right on and the pace of play was average.
Could of used a ranger to help holders who never played the coures.
The tee boxes where not clearly marked. The blue and gold where together.
Also carts were not allowed on any of the fairway's. Made for a long day.
Course is very challenging
Course is very well kept nice tee boxes all the way down the fairway to the pins.Lots of water hazards very challenging and very nice views.
Great Course and Staff
Really great experience. A steal for $18; well-maintained, good pace of play, staff was super. Fast, true greens which will punish you if you get on the wrong side of the hole. Not a long course, but you must hit to spots to score. Unsure if this course is really worth the apparently normal $70 green fee, but it's not far off. My only issue was the long drive to get there. Nice carts, practice balls free. Less than 4 hours to play on a Saturday around 1 PM. Highly recommended.
Not too long, not too difficult, not too easy.
The golf staff was friendly and eager to please. Made us feel welcome. The starter offered to let us, a twosome, Tee off ahead of a slower foursome. The pace of play was normal.
The course was relatively short with small greens. The greens were lightning fast. Although the course was short there was plenty of trouble to get into if you didn't pay attention.
A good day of golf, not too easy and not too hard. A very pleasant golfing experience.
The course is interesting and beautiful!
Tapatio Springs is getting back to the way it was and perhaps even better! Lots of work going on everywhere, which is good to see. All staff were very friendly, and that is nice! There was a time when the staff members were rather rude and abrupt. Not this time! We will be back!
Dry
The course is fairly short and is on the easy side of moderate overall with some tough holes. It was very dry and not in the best of shape when I played. The greens were dry, but not dead. It was also CP only when I played, I guess because it was so dry. The locker room was top notch and on par with a high-end country club. I think this place has potential, but the condition wasn't there when I played and not inline with other courses that have the same drought conditions.
This course is great for family.
Front 9 holes are comparatively easy, back 9 holes becomes challenging, green is fast.
Great Layout for Small Course
The greens could have been a little more plush but all and all they rolled great. The course was in great condition. It is fairly easy but it is a resort style course.
Very Nice
Very nice place to golf. I think because of the drought, the "Lakes" were pretty much drained and the water that was there looked a bit murky.... overall was nice course and did not feel rushed on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon.
Course needs some water.
Nice layout but the lake they use to water the course is almost dry. They need some rain.
got to have an ace in the hole
This is where the cowboy rides away (to)...tapatio has been tapped out for years, dead greens, old decor and a long drive made the course a check no for san antonions...reworked clubhouse with country club ++ ammenities, (nicer than many private clubs in san antonio) new greens and same old beautiful lay out ...great job guys, not selling ocean front property here... just see for yourself
Fun course
The course is beautiful and is in good shape. The greens are well manicured and are challenging but fair. Tapitio is a great place to play right in the heart of the Texas hill country.
Course needs rain, desperately
Out of 27 holes, 9 of them have been shut down for two months because of lack of rain. They now only permit you "cart path only" golf. A shame, it use to be a nice course. Rain, rain, rain. That's the solution needed.
Scenery, great greens, nice layout.
Fairways are coming along, just a great place to play golf.
Fantastic staff
Great course, although fairways are dry due to lack of rain..greens are still in good shape..
Need rain
I belonged to Tapatio in the mid-80's and love this course. It is dry, but we are under a drought! Good news, it rained Monday the 3rd (Labor day) and real hard today. I shot a 79!!!
This was a four star course that is now a two star!
This course used to be one of my favorites. The Texas drought has killed this gorgeous course. The best "9" of the "27" was closed because of the drought. The fairways are getting very beat and they are turning brown..... Not anyone's fault,,, it the Texas drought,,,,,
Beautiful hill country course.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The course is challenging but fun. Did not like the fact that they had cart path only rule. The course didn't seem to be watered or seeded.
19th hole
The resort was great. I think the best part of the course was "the 19th hole" after the round.
Still very dry
The tee boxes and greens were pretty green but the fairways were thin and the "rough" was dirt
