Course was saturated with water, has not rained in over a week. Bunkers lack of sand and weeds growing inside of bunkers. Tee boxes were not set up or in good condition. Would never pay regular course rates for this course. Golf now hot deal had us playing at 30 dollars as opposed to the 50-60 dollars for regular greens fees.

Could be a fantastic course but needs better upkeep

The only issues I had were amount of wear on the course fairway, the heavy morning watering in some areas and the traps were not maintained at all. There are literally weeds growing out of them and no signs of any daily work.

I was disappointed with the maintenance of the golf course, having not played here in two years. We were told there was a beverage cart on the course, however, we never saw one. Being in an extremely hot day, no drinking water in the coolers in the hot afternoon. That is unacceptable

Never seen the course this bad. Bunkers haven't been touched all year. Weeds in them and no sand. There was very few people out there yet the pace of play was insanely slow.

I have never played any golf course until this one iin which there was no drinking water available on any of the holes. The people who run this course left the impression that they could care less about their customers.

This was once one of the most best kept courses, looks like the management company is letting it go to the wayside.

Great course to play if you are in the hartford area. Relatively inexpensive considering the quality. Free range balls were a plus. Only compliant was the sandtraps were hard pack dirt. GPS available with smartphone

Nice course and lay out, but need to take better care

There was a time, about 7 years ago, when this was one of the top 5 public courses in the state. Now, it's a "shell of its former self."

And, I have "never" seen anyone working on the course in the last 6 or 7 years!!!

If things keep moving in this direction, I don't see a future for this course.

Good condition for the fairways and rough. Greens were average with evidence of brown spots and/or winter kill. Sand traps were very disappointing and almost unplayable as most had weeds, little sand, and compacted dirt/stones. General layout was excellent with 3-4 quirky hole layouts which were challenging for the first time player.

We paid 25$ for 18 holes with a cart, AMAZING deal! The course was kept in decent shape, fairways were a little brown and chewed up (probably the tournament that happened before we played). The pace of play however, was RIDICULOUS. We spent 5:45 minutes playing 18 holes. We sat at tee box after tee box waiting for the people in front of us to hit the ball. No rangers came by to check on the pace. The players in front of us seemed to think they were making $1,000,000 puts at every hole. We timed one guy and it took him 4:24 to make a put from ~5 ft from the cup.

Get a ranger on the course and get the people moving through!

The course has a nice layout but that's where it stops. It doesn't seem like anyone cares about this course. Bunkers have weeds growing in them and doesn't appear to have been raked in weeks. The greens are in tough shape and it doesn't help that no one cares enough to fix ball marks. The pace of play could be improved with someone managing groups.

Some complain it's too difficult Don't play the blues unless you can drive 250 yards. This course is typical of post 2000 courses. They have too leave wetlands alone and need to preserve a lot if natural features. You can't just play driver wedge on every hole. Conditions are a bit weathered but not unlike some international courses I've played. If you like challenges this has a great layout. Bogie is a good score on some holes.

Use this course as a last resort...no sand in the traps, only dirt. Greens covered with burned areas from fungus. Slow play as course too difficult for average golfers.

To start, the Pro Shop was sparsely stocked. We hit range balls to warm up. I have seen better ranges in cow pastures. The pace of play was somewhat slow. We did not see a marshal all day. The greens have spots that are dead. The greens were very bumpy. They did not roll smooth. Fairways were dead in spots. Tee boxes were in marginal condition. This could be a spectacular course if they would improve the condition of the entire course.

One word describes this golf course, "HORRIFIC"!!! The fairways were beat, there was trash on some of the greens, geese feces every to include the greens, and even grass growing in what they called sand bunkers. There was a worker weed whacking the sand bunkers, yes believe it.

It's a shame because years ago this was a beautiful course. The owner should try another business because owning a golf course isn't his/her forte and GolfNow should not advertise this course.
