The 5th. Par-4, 333. Classic drive-and-pitch hole, reflecting the links flavor of many Wintonbury holes. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

7th. Par-3, 255. As seen from tee eight, a threesome engaged in play around the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

11. Par-4, 433. A brute that takes no prisoners, and straight uphill from tee to green. Well, you can enjoy the fall scenery, anyway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

The twelfth, a downhill par-3 of 168, gives you a slight breather on a back nine that supplies little respite. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

Henry sets up for his tee shot at 14. An avid and fine golfer, he hit it down the middle on this hauntingly beautiful golf hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

Wintonbury’s toughness quickly becomes apparent by the time you’ve reached green two. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

Five is a short but strategic four-par of 333. Beautiful vistas abound on this course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The downhill 7th, a three-par of 255. Dye believed that long three-pars were the only holes to induce low-handicappers to hit long irons. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The Reverse Redan 9th, a 190-yard par-three, features a well-fortified green complex. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The fourteenth looks amazing even at twilight, but it’s an unforgiving par-4 of 455. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

First Time - Early Season
For the start of the season, a nice time and the course was in great shape for how early in the season. Can't wait to play again when the course comes alive!
Early Season Play
The course was in very good shape for a course that just opened, they had definately put work in beforehand. The staff was friendly and I would play there again. There was a few hikes between Tees and Greens but only one was up a big hill, tough on us older guys! Gotta be a great course when everything starts growing.
Great day of golf
Really good course and layout and for being early spring the course was as good as you could expect
Great Condition, True Greens, top 5 CT course
This is a course to put on your top public courses to play in the NE and certainly CT. The fairways are in amazing condition as well as the tee boxes and the rough is managed to perfection. A true Peter DYE design, a course that will make you think about each shot, at first glance some holes will try and trick you. Greens roll as true as any private courses I have played on, I would like to see them roll them, they played between a 9.5-10 on this day. It has a country club feel to it, the carts have a great GPS, just understand the course is set to be driven on the fairways and to protect the rough inside 100 yards. It's a drive and a secluded area coming from Fairfield, but a nice ride through Litchfield County on the way up. I look forward to teeing it up again, I left some shots out there. Highly recommend this course, Fairways are open, but the rough can grab your club, I played the course in under 3.5 hours.
Great golf course
I play there almost once a week with my son and my 2 nephews
the course is always in great shape and I’m retired so I’m glad you give a great senior discount. Thanks!!!
Great course. One of my favorite courses in Connecticut!!!
Wintonbury Hills is an excellent course. The staff is very friendly. The course is always in an excellent condition. I love to play there.
Great public course
Worth the cost of the green fees. Course is always in good shape and the greens roll consistently.
I know why this is top golf courses in CT~
Best ever condition, better than TPC River Highlands~
Great course
Wintonbury Hills in my opinion is one of the best courses in CT. Great conditions, fair greens, great views & a friendly staff.
Well done
Course was terrific. Pro was a little bothered. Not sure if it was because we were GolfNow participants or not, but his attitude could have been better. I would absolutely recommend it!
Wintonbury Hills in Bloomfield CT
Excellent conditions, layout, beautiful greens. Best municipal course in CT..
Bfly
Course is in great shape. GPS guided carts can be a little annoying with the restrictions. Grrens are somewhat difficult to read….found our foursome doing lots of 3 putts!
Love the Course
Excellent setting, conditions and layout. I wish the range was more accessible from the course.
Sunday Outing
Great day for golf. Course was in good shape and staff was accommodating. A recent observation regarding young players is a lack of golf etiquette or knowledge of it. The loud music on the course and pace of play as if no one else is playing.
