The 5th. Par-4, 333. Classic drive-and-pitch hole, reflecting the links flavor of many Wintonbury holes. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

7th. Par-3, 255. As seen from tee eight, a threesome engaged in play around the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

11. Par-4, 433. A brute that takes no prisoners, and straight uphill from tee to green. Well, you can enjoy the fall scenery, anyway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

The twelfth, a downhill par-3 of 168, gives you a slight breather on a back nine that supplies little respite. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

Henry sets up for his tee shot at 14. An avid and fine golfer, he hit it down the middle on this hauntingly beautiful golf hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

Five is a short but strategic four-par of 333. Beautiful vistas abound on this course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The downhill 7th, a three-par of 255. Dye believed that long three-pars were the only holes to induce low-handicappers to hit long irons. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The Reverse Redan 9th, a 190-yard par-three, features a well-fortified green complex. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The fourteenth looks amazing even at twilight, but it’s an unforgiving par-4 of 455. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

Always a good round
The course is in an amazing condition right now. Greens are fast and in great shape. Don’t miss the fairway, the rough will get you in trouble even if you miss by a yard or two. Staff is always friendly and keep things moving. My only complaint is they are understaffed which took away some enjoyment and they really missed out on revenue not having a cart girl out there on a hot Friday afternoon. Also only one girl working the bar and obviously was overwhelmed. Hopefully they will get that together as the season moves on. Will be back.
Course was in great shape. Played mid day on a weekend and pace was great
Best public course in CT
Views greens layout bar food carts… all of it top class for public and beats tons of private spots.
great course but slow
Course was in very good condition, but with the rain we have been getting the rough was a little thick. Unfortunately the groups in front of us were slow even though tee times are spaced at ten minutes. Could be that people just had some difficulty and it backed people up, and the course does not have rangers to keep things moving.
Great layout
Play this for the first Time this year and I’ve been playing courses in Hartford County and to me. This is one of the better courses around.
Spring golfg
Course was in great condition for early spring. Thanks to grounds crew for doing such a great job. Greens were fast for this time of years. Loved it.
First time
First time playing the course, early spring conditions, but I loved the location of the course and probably is beautiful in the fall, great early season conditions, and looks like it’s a phenomenal place to continue golfing when it grows in.
CT best course by far
Dye master course well maintained and great service
Aeration !!!
I’m so tired of golf courses omitting the fact that they have aerated the greens or fairways this would have made my mind up to have played somewhere else I do love playing wintonberry it’s a great golf course and normally in good shape but at least have the decency to let people know when it’s not in the best of condition,
I understand this is necessary but a bit of honesty goes a long way the greens were impossible to putt on !!!!
