5:45 Hour 18 holes
The course was running 20 min later then our tee time and it didn’t get much better from there. Pace of play is supposed to be 4:15 and it was WAY OFF. I wouldn’t recommend playing here on the weekend. The course is greening up and is a pretty nice layout though.

Pace of Play
Thought I’d give it a try on a Saturday despite the reviews about pace of play (no way a round really takes 6 hours right?….WRONG) 2 hours and 55 minutes to play the front 9. Another hour 5 to play the next 4. Some holes we were backed up 4 groups deep at the tee box. We finally left after 4 hours and only 13 holes completed. Not a Marshall in sight anywhere. I asked the gentleman in the pro shop if it’s usually that bad on the weekends and all he said was “yeah that’s understandable” lol no it’s not that’s ridiculous! Golf doesn’t need to take 20 minutes per hole. He then asked if anyone offered to let us play through. How are we supposed to play through a half dozen groups? Booking tee times every 7/8 minutes apart on the weekends is complete insanity but they don’t seem to care. Don’t expect to get a quick round in on the weekends, or even a normal round for that matter. Gotta give credit where it’s due so 2 stars because the course was in pretty great shape

Course is looking good
Great course as always and the greens are looking good. We had a great time. Food at the rooster was delicious.

The hype is real. Great course
Played at Comanche lakes, great course, a lot of scenic lakes and wildlife. My favorite was hole 11 which is a par 3 with a squaw creek running in between the tee box and the hole. Beautiful scene. Only gripe is some holes have greens with sod on them but it is starting to flat out but it did effect a few putts. All things considered, friendly staff, relaxed feel. Great course! Playing Apache links on Saturday!

Way over booked course
We got paired with a another guy on the golf now app. We Got there early to warm up, kinda my fault for not telling him he was going to have to wait or see about playing ahead of the tee time(because tee times didn’t seem matter. It was so hectic around the first tees. It seemed like a free for all around there. Nice course fairly tough but not to bad at all. I wouldn’t say the staff was bad but nothing above or below just flat and average.

This place is still a great track. Winter conditions for sure on the fairways, but boy oh boy were the greens fun. My first time back since they redid the greens. I only noticed one green that currently has any issues. PLENTY of one putts to be had. Can’t wait to see the place again in the spring.

It took 51/2 hours to play 15 holes. NO marshal to keep players MOVING . Had to leave due to another commitment.

Comanche Lakes
I always enjoy getting out to Squaw Valley. First time on the Lakes Course since they redid the greens. No, they’re not perfect. Yes, there are large patches they’re still working on. But, none of the pins were anywhere near the areas under repair. I did take “relief” a few times. We had the same issue at my regular course after the freeze, and eventually all the greens took the repairs & new grass, so I’m sure they’ll be fine eventually. I’ll be looking forward to getting back out to SV again.

Enjoyable round of golf
It was a nice day for a round of golf on a picturesque course. There are some challenges on this course and it is not as “open” as the Comanche Lakes course.

Good shape.
Despite the weather the course was in nice shape. Some obvious repairs have been made in areas, but at least they are being done. We will continue to come back.
