About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

Nice course
The course was in good shape. Only complaint is the tee boxes are dry and hard to get the tee into the ground.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I played the resort about a year ago and it was in awful condition. I thought that’d i give it a year and maybe the course would be in better condition. Here I am... The course is awful. Fairways are rock hard Tee boxes rock hard greens inconsistent. Rough isn’t rough its just dirt with weeds scattered sporadically. Overall it is a awful course i can pay $30 for twilight golf at Fossil Creek and get a course thats in 10 times better condition. Don’t worry about repairing a divot on the green because they are to hard to even make one. Overall this course is horrible and at Max a $25 course to play in the morning and a $10 course to play during the day.

Great course for the money
The pace of play was fantastic early this Monday morning. I was able to complete my round in 2 hours and 10 minutes playing by myself. The course was in good shape, considering it is August in Texas.

Nice Course
This is my second time to play this course. It is in excellent shape. The front nine is challenging with narrow fairways and tough pin placements. The back.nine is more forgiving-some. #17 is a great hole-don’t be short on approach. One of my new favorite courses. I need to find me a house here and let this become my new home course.

Great Layout
Great, challenging golf course! Several risk/reward opportunities out at the Resort. Greens in excellent shape, nice fairways and tee boxes. Only real issue are the sand traps. Why is the sand so rough and course. A golf course of this caliber needs to have A LOT HIGHER grade of sand! This is a large, metropolitan area with plenty of supply of high grade sand. Add it ASAP!

Enjoyable outing
We liked everything about our round except for a couple of areas that seemed to have been overwatered. When some of the water hazards were dried up it was curious that a few fairways had muddy areas right in the middle of them.
Other than that, no complaints, and we had a great round of golf.

Tough course
You have to be accurate and strategic as there are many tight fairways and sloping greens. A nice challenge. Fairways need a little work as the grass was lacking but will definitely be back.

Always Fun
The course is in good shape for mid-July in North Texas.
It was pretty crowded but we still finished in 3.5 hours.

Great course, members seem to suck
Great course, challenging and narrow. Very good shape! The only thing that would prevent me from going back is the grumpy members. A group was very upset (for the lack of better words) over a double booked 6:40 AM! Not busy either......

Love the challenging course
Although i did not play well and it was Very HOT. The gilf course was in great shape. I love the speed of the greens. The only thing that i would suggest is have some kind of GPS on the carts to lrt you know which hole is next. We some hars time finding the next hole. Thank goodness one of the residents was outside in the pool to pet us know to turn around to get to the next hole. Other than that i will be back.

Will not go again
Drove 80 minutes to try this place and wish I didn’t go. Price was about double the true value.
Design is very poor with holes squeezed in half the acreage as normal course. Some tee boxes are 20 feet from the next tee on consecutive holes.. Other tees required the approaching group on previous hole to drive through the next tee sight line.
Had a Marshall playing in group behind us on a 3 hour pace (we were on 3.5) and could hear him complaining entire round. We waited in group in front most holes. Felt rushed and picked up on several holes to speed play.
All bunkers are complete wash outs. Greens are tiny and had been sanded and punched days prior without pre reservation comment. Weeds and non golf grass everywhere, in prime fairway areas. Other places hard as concrete in prime fairway position. To set tee in ground, bring your hammer.
Many holes had houses built right against course and lots were .2 acres at best (very dense build out up against course).
Oh and mosquitos plentiful. Save your money.
