The Resort Golf Club
About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

Golf Club @The Resort
Fairways & tee boxes were awesome. Definitely a lot of difficult tee shots. Every hole has character. Some greens were a little bumpy but overall not bad at all. It was a lot of fun.
Big Surprise!
Beautiful course. The back 9 especially, has some great views atop elevated tee's. Pro shop guys were extremely accommodating and helpful to a first time visitor like me.
I will definately go back! (if it stays public)
Great time, another successful round at the Resort.
Course was in very good condition, staff was very friendly, and we had great overcast weather. Course was crowded and pace was slow. Greens were very fast. Enjoyed our round and will return very soon.
Hidden Gem
I almost hate to gush about this course...part of the reason I love it so much is that it's usually not crowded & I can play a relaxing round. This is a beautiful course with several unique & challenging holes. It is nestled among some great natural elements & homes...plenty to look at! I highly recommend that you try it out if you haven't yet. Excellent value!!!
Course is nice and challenging
The fairways and rough are in great shape. Bermuda greens have it come around yet as there are quite a few patchy spots out there but all the courses around here with Bermuda greens really suffered with the harsh winter we had.
Love the layout. Some real tough holes and some others you can score on.
Good value for the green fee.
Great value!
Great course and would have gladly paid more. Everything was great course has more than enough challenging holes.
Solid Experience
Course was almost rock hard. No reason most holes were roped off even after an evening of light rain. Greens inconsistent - some were plush most others rolled fast/quick. Great Staff and good food. Overall good experience & would recommend.
Above average
Nice to play, needs some improvements but overall it worth trying it.
Hidden treasure
The Golf Club at the Resort is a really nice public facility that makes you feel like you're walking into a country club type atmosphere. It's might look intimidating to some public players but the staff was very friendly to me.
The course conditions are not outstanding but they could be. The layout is unique and the fairways were nicely maintained. There is some really attractive scenery on several holes as well.
The only issue they have in my opinion is some pretty bad crab grass in some areas and the greens could use some more love but nothing's perfect unless you pay top dollar. It's a really good course for the value and I'd recommend it to any of my friends.
challenging short course
Had a great time out there. Rewards a good shot maker. Has its share of tight tree lined holes and holes that were more wide open.We will definitely play again.
Staff needs training in customer service
The course was challenging but we enjoyed the round. The layout on the back nine was a little tight as the holes were virtually parallel to one another. It took us a little under 4.5 hours to finish. My one grievance was with the staff. They were rude, not welcoming AT ALL! They acted like it was a privilege to play here. Just a reminder, WE keep you in business. It's a shame, because I enjoyed the course but I promise I will not back.
dont bother
Fairways in decent shape, but that is where it ends. Tee boxes so hard l had to hammer in my tee on a par 3 hole to get the tee down low enough. Greens were totally brown and full of drainage holes. The greens were what you may expect for October after a hot dry summer. Course layout horrible, had trouble finding tee box for hole 6, never did find box for hole 15 gave up and left. No hole layout on signs so you dont know where hazzards are located. Worst course l ever played, pretty bad for a private course that wants to sell memberships.
Great layout
Great track with lots of blind shots and narrow fairways. The green on some holes could really use some love. I played for $28 on Monday morning and played a 3 hours round so that was a big plus. Located inside a gated community with lots of constructions/house building going on right next to you, literally.

challenging course design. back nine to many parallel holes.
Go play this course
This course is a nice track. It has several challenging drives and is in overall good condition. I played it in the beginning of April which in the DFW area can be tenuous, but give it a month and I bet all things will be great. Nice layout, again some drives where accuracy is needed and mostly small and challenging greens. For the money, worth the inconvenient drive. I would recommend players play this course.
No starter
The course was busy enough to have a starter. The first tee is a long way from clubhouse and no starter. We were informed that they were running on time and proceeded to the first tee five minutes before our time. We were forth group at the tee. We sorted out time except for the twosome that didn't have a tee time but a friend/ brother in pro shop told just to go . We were almost fifteen minutes late teeing off. The couse has yet to start growing and is without any green grass at this time. Staff were friendly. Bunkers appeared to have last been maintained last fall.
Great course
Really liked this course. Great condition for this time of year. Was a pretty difficult course, lots of bunkers and water, but I liked the challenge. Green were a little hard, but in good condition. Will definitely be playing there again.
This is a challange course
course has sand traps by every green and has a lot of water hazards
title
The only part of this course that is not done well is hole 11-12-13-14 where tee boxes and green converge in a very tight sometimes dangerous position due to flying golf balls. If not for the tightness in this area this would be a very good course.
