Sculpted by Greg Norman out of the tall grassland prairies and rice fields west of Houston, Meadowbrook Farms is part of a planned 800-acre residential development headed by Landmark National. Norman's layout includes deep-faced sod bunkers, Lil Prong Creek, and a multitude of oaks, pecans, and sycamores that take the golfer toward greens that are extremely hard.
The lack of parallel holes allows for an open, natural setting that is perfect for golf, especially since Norman didn't favor much reshaping-instead, he used the natural topography of the former rice farm.
Holes of note on the front are the 160-yard No. 6 and the 420-yard No. 9, both accented by the tall native grasses. No. 9 involves wetlands in front of the green, which is tough considering the longish approach.
Several holes on the back can destroy your round, including the narrow, doglegging 395-yard No. 10. It's imperative to find the fairway on this one. And No. 15 is short (340 yards), but is loaded with bunkers that are difficult for the high-handicapped hack.
The best hole of the bunch is perhaps No. 18, a 545-yarder that involves a layup of a canal off the tee and two solid shots to reach the green in regulation.
All told, this one is worth the investment. The bag drop service is friendly and prompt, and the clubhouse offers affordable amenities, including a great little bar and grill.
Getting there : From Downtown Houston on I-10, drive west to Grand Parkway (Hwy. 99). Take Grand Parkway south to Fry Rd., then turn right. Take Fry Rd. west for approximately 1.3 miles, and the entrance is on the left.

In good shape
Fairways are in great shape. Greens are slow but are in good shape. Course is just as good as the others within the same price range.
Fun Course in excellent condition
A well laid out golf course in excellent condition. Pace of play was excellent. Greens were in excellent condition as well and this day seemed a bit slow. Shots held the greens well. Playing from regular men's tees, length was playable, though 30 mph winds made some longer par 4s unreachable in two. Overall, a great course to play.

Good winter conditions
While not up to Spring or Summer standards yet, it was in good shape to play. Layout is good and encourages you to stay in the fairway. Getting off the fairway or the short rough will put you in jail for deep natural grasses and almost guarantee a lost ball.
Greens were in nice shape and very fast. Breaks were true, but speed is the key. Sand was very playable but bunkers are not made to get out of easily with high walls in direction of play.
Overall a nice day of golf (ignoring the cold wind!) 👍
Too expensive for the conditions of the course
This course is not kept to match the cost of the green fees, no drink cart and very slow
People at therestaurant are very nice
Great time
Purchased Hot Deal on Thursday afternoon and the weather was perfect. Course was in great shape except they need to add sand to the bunkers. My friend and I were partnered with a single and we moved along at a very good pace. No cart girl (probably due to Thursday afternoon). Wished we would have been told so we could have picked up some drinks in the clubhouse but we did get some at the turn. Greens ran true and fast but a little tricky to read. Driving range, putting green and short game area are good. Excellent deal with Hot Deal pricing

It took me almost 5 hrs and only played 16 holes marshall was not doing anything to push two groups in front of us playind super slow

There were 2 groups of people in front of us they were taking far too long looking for balls , planning putts etc it took me morenthan 4.5 h and only did 16 holes before light ran out
Great course- friendly staff but slow play
Love the course ; the staff are super friendly but you all jammed too many folks onto the course !!! … when you have a foursome waiting in the tee box; another foursome waiting in the fairway and another foursome putting on the green for nearly every hole that’s too many folks
No cash or flags
They don't except cash, which I wasn't aware of until I tried to purchase at the turn. Didn't have my wallet on me, so loss of sale and money. There was no different color flags on the green to know if was front,middle or back. Inconsistent green speed, this could be because of the rain over the weekend. This course always plays well and challenging. I always enjoy playing it when I get over to that side of town.
Aggressive Manager
Played many times loved the location great staff. Sadly while on maintenance some areas were poorly accommodated to keep playing. Was confused and end up playing with a couple of friends in front of us which made it look like a 5 some at the 18th !
Manager screaming and aggressive behavior left us 5 regular clients with nothing but the feeling of never come back again.
