TwinEagles Golf & Country Club - Talon Course
About
The Talon Course is one of two championship golf courses at TwinEagles Golf & Country Club. Both courses evoke the feel of the sandy cliffs and mossy glens of the renowned St. Andrews, the birthplace of traditional links golf. The Talon Course's grassy fairways and rolling dunes are definitely an indication of its inspiration but the landscape of oaks, palms, and palmettos quickly gives away its actual location. There are also several sparkling lakes sprinkled throughout. Jack Nicklaus partnered with his son to design the course. The layout makes you think, heavily emphasizing shot strategy and course management. It features all of the trademarks of Nicklaus golf including length, tricky approaches, and undulating greens. Bunkering and mounding also come into play often. It is a challenging but fair layout that can be played without any forced carries.

Fun course
Nice layout with many challenging holes. Course is in very good condition. Staff friendly and courteous.
Nice Layout, good Driving Range Facilities
We liked to play at off-season. Talon Course is nice and a challange from the back tees, but makeable.
we had a great time
the course is in superb condition. the talon course is very challenging yet still playable. our group would love to play here again soon
Enjoyed it.
Nice grounds and layout. Greens were perfect and rolled fast and true.
everything was great
We loved the course so much that we booked another tee time before we left. The Twin Eagle brand beer and the food afterwards was well priced and superb..definetly on my list of places to play often
Elevated greens demand precise approach shots
When there is at least a moderate breeze, the elevated greens will be a real test. The course provides a good variety of holes, and very few with water that comes into play. Great value for money!
Wonderful Experience
First of all, as a first time player, I didn't think there were signs in critical places in directing one from a hole to another. Some holes were obvious when leaving a green going to the next tee, but others required a little searching. I assume if your a member that becomes a moot point. Other than that, we were very happy with the course and it's environment. Standing on most tees offered a wonderful visual of the layout of that specific hole. The fairways and the greens were in wonderful shape. The layout of the homes in connection to the course also was done with some thought. I liked how the homes were a part of the course, but not an intrusion into the make up of the course.
Outstanding
An outstanding golf experience in a beautiful setting
Tough Test
Always have to play this course when down in FL.. My 2nd favorite course. Good value right now and gives you a chance to compare your game against the Senior Pro's.. Course is generous off of the tee but requires good iron play and of course putting can be a challenge on these greens. Was a little miffed that the greens had just been verticut and sanded. Course was in its usual fine condition.. If you are 50 plus and think you have game try it from the II tees.. Be prepared to hit a lot of long irons and hybrids into the greens.. It was a blast..
Staff could use a course in being nice to their guests, they can be a little stuck up.. Starters were great..
This course is up for any level of skill.
Beautiful course, sand traps abound in the fairways and around the greens. Greens are a challenge to stay on and to putt. Fairways look wide but watch out for those sand traps. This was my third time playing the Talon at Twin Eagles and I have enjoyed my trip around this beautiful and challenging course all three times.
twin eagles is a first rate golfing experience
Great track. Friendly staff. Home of the CME LPGA tournament this weekend. One thing. I made reservations for 4 golfers, but I had a no show. I was told by pro shop staff to request a refund from you. Is this correct. thanks.
Great experience
This was the first time I played the Talon course and I was very impressed with the layout and the conditions! Greens were lightning fast, spotless and true. There was a penalty for missing the fairway, however, that's what I would expect. All in all a great day of golf!
Course maintained a wide variety of options, from numerous tee locations to choice of green options.
This course advertised a professional reputation and association and delivered on all. Excellant practice facility, next time I play there will get there much before my tee to take advantage of.
A course everyone can enjoy regardless of your Handicap
Everything about this Club exudes the word "Friendly". From the moment you draw up to the Bag drop-off point right through to a well earned Drink in the Bar. Everyone you meet is efficient, knows their job and makes every effort to ensure your day goes smoothly. The Talon Course has 5-6 Tees, so everyone can find one that allows them to challenge and enjoy their game. The holes are varied with water appearing on many, but not in such a way, that causes too much trouble. Most holes also include a desert type of appearance with manicured wasteland areas festoned with tall grasses. The fairways are quite wide, but the greens are set-up to receive a shot from a required direction, so long and straight, needs to be long and acurate. This is exemplified by the final Two holes, they require carefully placed tee shots, that then allow you to access the carefully guarded greens. Having completed your round, do not just drive home: Pop into the Lounge bar situated high up on the vehranda and enjoy a Pint of the Club's very own ALE.
Excellent course,start to finish.
The Talon, first off get to this course early as you will want to practise a bit with the range, chipping greens and the putting green. Chipping is important on the course as some of the holes are long and a little bump and run may be required. The greens are quick but roll very true, so put it online and go. The infrastructure is excellent in the waterstations and restrooms, the cartpaths are smooth and the fairways are like short carpets. The visiual side of the golf is very relaxing with a variety of wildlife and gardens to gaze at. Bring all your clubs and maybe an extra one too, as you will hit them all. There are numerous tee blocks to select from so enjoy the day by picking the proper distance, cuz this place takes strokes and gives back few. The staff was very friendly.
A true gem!
The course was immaculate! The greens were on point. The fairways had no bad lies! Just a super course.
Top Notch
The Talon was a great experience. Excellent condition, good layout, and challenging. Definitely worth more than the price paid. Can't wait to play it again.
Challenging greens and beautiful conditions. Very friendly staff across all areas.
We will play this course any chance we get. Loved the flow of golf and the scenery that goes with it.
Millionaires golf
Had the course to ourselves (The Eagle), super set up, some superb mansions here, watch out for the alligators gave one of my buddies a fright on the 3rd, had us all in fits of laughter.
Got a cracking deal on Golfnow.com very welcoming and friendly staff, would definitely return, spot on.
