Valencia
Good day with friends.
Enjoyable Round
For a public track, Valencia was in pretty good shape. Some of the holes are short, but they were enough challenges to keep it interesting. We played there twice and the pace of play was always excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating— there is an above average practice area for a public course for sure. The only knock is ongoing construction around many of the holes, especially on the backside. Also, the greens fees are a little bit high compared to other public courses we have played in Southwest Florida. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will be back again.
The staff is super friendly
The course was pretty easy to play with wide open fairways but the pace of play was slow.
Thought the course was in OK shape.
As good as it can get!!!
In SWFL during the season it's hard to find semiprivate or public courses that have affordable fees. Valencia is one of the more affordable courses with better than average course conditions.
Would play again .. Too far away
We had a great round ..
However course is too far away.
Poor tee boxes
The tee boxes were not well maintained. Green 10 had dead infected grass that was not treated.
Construction everywhere
Played this course a few times in the past and enjoyed it. Course was nice fairly easy. This year there is construction all around the course, huge ugly piles of sand and dirt to look at. When breezy the sand blows all over. Cart paths on some holes are like a construction debris obstacle course. I play to enjoy the beauty of golf courses but sadly until they finish clearing-building I will not pay $75 plus (now its $130 plus) to play there.
The pace was good since we didn't tee off until 3:22pm and wanted to get the round in before dark.
Ok, but too expansive!
You have a lot of loud construction work on the second nine, but you pay for top conditions!
