1757 Golf Club
About
Located just a few minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport, 1757 Golf Club is one of northern Virginia's most popular courses. The name comes from the same year that Loudoun County was founded. The golf course is definitely a shot-maker's layout with a diverse terrain that has elevation changes up to 30 feet. There are several risk-reward opportunities as well. Well positioned tee shots will be generously rewarded with accessible approach shots but if you're errant, you'll have to deal with a tough recovery. The golf course is fairly tight so accuracy is a necessity. There are also water hazards on 14 holes and the rough can also be punishing. 1757 Golf Club finishes with an intimidating par 3 that plays over water to a shallow green. You'll need a bold stroke to avoid a watery grave.

Course review
Interesting course with a couple of uniquely designed holes that take away from the overall wide open and varied shot making experience.
A par 4 on the front with a moat green but deceptive distance - flight it down and hit the front w/spin. Tight layout to start the back through 13 but challengingly fun par 3 over water to finish with a big green.
Want to go back again as I know I can play this better a second time.
Awesome facility, amenities, and course
1757 will not beat you with length, but the hazards make this course very challenging. There is water on most holes and the tall grass will catch any errant shots. The practice facility is one of the best facilities you will find anywhere in the country and the lights for the range are an added bonus. The course seems to always be in great shape. So far, it seems as though they cut the fairways and greens every day which is great too.
Overall
Played this course about a dozen times now so figured I would finally review.
Lot of water and the rough slopes radically into the water line. So the fairway is unforgiving. But the length of the holes and pin placement on the greens makes up for it. The course is extremely well kept so this is the place to hone your putting.
Bring some game...and some patience
Not an easy course, especially when it's windy. Can't miss the fairways by much and don't even think about being long on approach shots. Ballparks on greens and fairways divots not repaired very often it seems and starter inexplicably sending out twosomes every couple of groups midday on a holiday. Fun facility and recommended, but misses in a couple of areas.
Poor course management
We were. Three some all of us quite after front nine . Because we have to wait every hole. It was not fun. The course is nice and in good condition but the course management is really poor . No golf assistant come out try to do something about it
Bad course management
My friend and I have to quit after 9 whole because of long waiting on every whole . No golf assistant came out to help the traffic jam. It was very pouring and bad experience.
Mr.
Course was in great condition. The greens were challenging but fun to play. Much improvement in containing the goose droppings although they need to be removed from the course altogether.
short shot makers course.
When you pay $90 for a round your expectations go up. .The staff was great. Starter advised white tees for first timers. seemed short at 5800 but it was great advice. The wind was gusty 30 mph the whole round. The range balls where awful condition, the first green was all marked up thankfully the rest where not bad. Beverage cart on back 9 only, after the round the restaurant was closed but cafe open. The rough is tough the fairways were in good shape. Ending your round on a par 3 over water was a surprise. I am not a long hitter but several holes take driver out of your hand. Will not run back to replay.
Pace of play always an issue
This course is in a good location and is close to my house but pace of play is always an issue here. That is probably because there is water everywhere. Because of that, it's a fairly difficult course and lots of people trying to fish balls out of the ponds. The positive is the course is in excellent condition!
The course layout was unique and challenging
The course overall was exceptional especially the fairways were in great shape freshly cut and not too overwhelming. The greens were carefully groomed and the putting experience was enjoyable knowing that your ball would travel exactly where you putted no upstruction or unforeseen bumps along the path. My wife had a challenge nearing the greens had to walk some and carry her wedge and putter at the no cart allowed foot sign it took a little more time but our pace was spot on throughout. A great enjoyable round.
Nice course always a pleasure to play
This is a great course with some challenging holes. I enjoy playing here and the staff are always friendly.
Best Public Course I've ever played
Could not be happier with the staff or the lay out of the course. Cart girl was around multiple times during the round. Can't wait to return.
Good challenge, excellent pace of play
Course is in really good shape, fair amount of water, not alot of hills but layout makes you pick your shot selection. Free bucket of balls to warm up, staff is always looking to help out. Great time to spend with my son.
