1757 Golf Club
About
Located just a few minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport, 1757 Golf Club is one of northern Virginia's most popular courses. The name comes from the same year that Loudoun County was founded. The golf course is definitely a shot-maker's layout with a diverse terrain that has elevation changes up to 30 feet. There are several risk-reward opportunities as well. Well positioned tee shots will be generously rewarded with accessible approach shots but if you're errant, you'll have to deal with a tough recovery. The golf course is fairly tight so accuracy is a necessity. There are also water hazards on 14 holes and the rough can also be punishing. 1757 Golf Club finishes with an intimidating par 3 that plays over water to a shallow green. You'll need a bold stroke to avoid a watery grave.

Enjoyable course
Nice layout, and in pretty good condition. Better than earlier in the year, though still wet in low lying areas though there'd been no significant rain for a couple weeks. Fun to play.
this is a fun course to play.
I would come back and play 18 hole of golf again, can't wait.
This course has great facilities
The course itself was in very poor condition (just been aerated/plugs and holes everywhere)and the greens are in poor condition.
Good value nice course
Pace of play was a bit slow, no one would tell foursome in front of us to speed it up a bit. Otherwise good value and nice course to play.
Makes you use every club in your bag
The course was in great shape and a real challenge for distance control. She makes you use every club and shot in your bag. The greens were tough but fair. The driving range is and exceptional bonus when playing this course, make sure to come early enough to take advantage.
Course is run down and way overpriced
Terrible layout for this course. Not enough land literally and too much water. All the holes look the same. They had the nerve to charge a discounted rate of $82 (regular $98) and then insist on charging $10 to hit a small bucket on the range.
Never would go there again. Golfnow would be best off delisting this course!
Best time to play
The course in in a very great condition. The green is pretty quick with almost no bump at all. My original tee time was at 2:00 pm but since I had some unfinished work, I had to delay it and we didn't get any trouble slotting in at 3:00 pm. Very friendly staff member.
Very nice course.
Enjoyed the course. Facilities are first rate. It is a great course to work on your game.
Rainy day
We had a 1520 tee time and the rain stopped right before we went out to start. The fairways are narrow so the tee shot isn't very forgiving. The course was in good shape but wet due to the rain.
Good course
2nd time playing her and it was as I expected. Wish I had known the greens were just punches but it didn't affect play as much as I thought. Ball was still rolling well and greens had some speed. Course in good shape and pace of play wasn't bad. Will play again.
100% perfect
I love the golf course and I like to play it again soon it's verry nice challanging golf course
Great Facility
Considering the time of year (August) the course was in pretty good condition. Great course for women to play as my wife shot a 91
Short course with water everywhere.
The course is decent. Short but has it's challenges. Water comes into play on about 14 holes so accuracy is a must. Greens are average but a little beat-up. The pace is slow because some of the par 4's are drivable so groups wait for the greens to clear. I've never seen anyone enforcing pace but they should.
The day we played the maintenance guy was in front of us for 10 holes watering the fairways. So on a beautiful sunny day, we had to hit from wet fairways...
They have an awesome practice facility but you have to buy an expensive membership to use it. The service on the food and beverage side is awful. On several previous rounds I tried to buy a hot dog or something to eat at the turn and was told 15 minutes. 15 minutes for a hot dog? I started packing a lunch after that...
Looks nice but WAY overpriced
Course looks immaculate from the road. Practice facility is great. Staff is friendly. However, the course is in TERRIBLE shape. Not one green was puttable. Between thousands of un-fixed ball marks, and holes from a bad airation job that never closed, I am very unsatisfied with 1757. They charge way too much to have a course that poorly kept. Very disappointed. I will not be recommending this dogtrack to anyone.
Course layout ispoor
The course is well maintained and challenging but only challenging due to the hole layout. Too many sharp doglegs and short par 4s that don't provide a real golf challenge. It reminds me of a course from GoldenTee versus an actual golf course. Ending on a par 3 over water is also amateur. Swap 17 and 18 and it would be a proper closing.
Love the course...hate the pace of play
I have tried numerous times to finish a round at 1757. I recently spoke with someone who said it has gotten much better since they went to 10 minute tee times and deployed a marshal on the course. I thought I would give it one more try and as my partner said on the back 9; "Same ole 1757". The pace of play on the front 9 was perfect, even saw a marshal who broke up the sixsome in front of us and asked them to let us play through (twosome). Then we got to the back and from the tee we waited as it came to a screeching halt. After playing the first 3 holes in an hour we called it a day. Somehow 2 twosomes were not in front of us that we NEVER saw them on the front. I was hoping a marshal would come by so we could figure out how this happened but we never saw the marshal again after the front 9. I went to the pro shop and asked for a 9 hole rain check that I will probably never use. I told them about our experience and they said they would investigate but I am sure it fell on deaf ears. I even said something to the starter and he didn't see how 2 twosomes were on the back but again they really didn't try and figure it out. If you have played the course, it is easy for a group or 2 to sneak out on the back which I am confident occurred in this situation. The range is the best in the area and I will continue to use it. But I can not in good judgement give this course an endorsement because it shouldn't take 6 hours to play a round of golf.
Fun little track
First time playing it but really enjoyed it. Played from the whites so it's pretty short for most holes, only used the driver maybe twice on the front side. Challenging at parts where you have play some target golf and plan your shots. Course was in good shape to be expected with the prices which are a little high but i got a hot deal on it so it was worth it. I would love to play it agian and do recommend it.
1757 great course
1757 has an excellent practice facility and the course is in great shape this year.
Tough course, not crowded, bunkers
Good course, very challenging. The course was very well maintained with the exception of the tees. Odd, but they were beat up and patchy.
Played blue tees and many holes had a tee shot carry of 160 to 180 yds. A bit much for even a mid-handicaper. Also a 240 yd. par three was a bit excessive.
Extensive training and practice facility - looked good - but I didn't utilize.
Definitely would play this course again.
Best course for the money.
This course is a very well kept, challenging and pretty golf club. For anywhere from $40-100 dollars, you get a private club quality course for the price of a public outing.
The restaurant and clubhouse are very nice and add even more to the experience you can get at 1757.
