Vaaler Creek Golf Club

Vaaler Creek is a true beauty. I live in San Antonio & it’s well worth the 50-60 minute drive. Course conditions are excellent right now. Definitely recommend

The Course was in really good shape. Great staff and it was a "ok experience." The problem is there was no Marshalls working. I understand the economics. But, we were stuck behind the slowest folks known to man. They hit more than one shot from about anywhere they wanted. They were playing behind a 2-some, one riding and one walking. The 2-some played moderately ok, but when it got dark, the walker should have hopped in the cart. They and the 4 some in front of us, made it a long day with us finishing the last 1.5 holes in the Dark. Marshalls would have helped,,. It took us over 6 hours to play. Really good course, but terrible pace of play this day.

Overall the course is in great shape. I think the 2nd tee box was really weak and had little to no grass on it. Other than that the course was in excellent condition.

This is a must play course in the greater San Antonio area.The course conditions were excellent greens were some of the best around.Beautiful scenic area won’t regret the drive to this gem. Suggestions would be better signage between holes also better identification of tee markers.a final comment would be some kind of bailout area on hole 18 as it is all carry over water. This was difficult for my senior parents and I’m sure their not alone here.Overall great course would definitely recommend and we will return.

No course Marshall on course to keep pace up. A mixed foursome in front of us not playing ready golf. Both carts drive to one ball and three would watch as the player hit and then they would go to next ball. Threesome behind my group kept hitting into us because groups were backing up on tee boxes. I love Vaalar Creek, but someone needs to keep pace of play moving to make the round enjoyable for everyone. Sitting in your cart watching it is terrible. You don’t have to be “A” players, but you should understand golf courtesy

Booked with another couple for our significant others birthday round. Beautiful drive in and was not dissapointed with the course. The staff other than the lady running the cart were absolutely not interested in customer service. The gentleman in the clubhouse couldn't even be bothered with giving more than single word answers. The woman running the snack bar was very standoffish. She was pleasant enough taking our money but really could have cared less about assisting otherwise. Overall customer service was trash. Spending almost 300 to play should at least get you a cart that the gps works in and a smile from the folks running the place. Doubt I will play there again.

Tee boxes have crown/humps - need to be leveled out periodically. Great course and in overall great condition.

Loved the price too for this layout. Only complaint would be the tee boxes which weren't very good. Not mowed right and not level. Also, one green was really messed up but that was it. Would play again.

Tee boxes are all humped over. They need to be flatted. The mowers are pretty aggressive. Cut right down to the dirt. Leave enough grass to hold the ball up.
