Showed up 15 min before tee time because my drive was over an hour. Checked in, loaded up my cart, and got to the tee box on time. Started my solo round at 1230p, played 14 holes, and then joined up with a member to finish off the 18. He asked if I wanted to go another 9, told the marshal I was with him, and we went on our way. Finished 27 holes in 5 hours. Great course, great company, hundreds of deer and plenty of water at the tees. I'll be back!

We were dissapointed in the greens, everything else was first class. We do understand too that this is not normal for you and that you typically have great greens. Certainly we look forward to coming back and playing again soon.

For the price, I’d expect the greens to be in better shape. Several greens need some work. Course otherwise is very nice

I made a tee time, thru golf now, for Thursday 8/15/24,, when I got to the course and found it CLOSED,, APPARENTLY golf now didn’t know about the closing, or y’all did know and changed my tee time to Friday the 16 th . I know for a fact I DID NOT MAKE A TEE TIME FOR THE 16th AS WE WERE LEAVING ON THAT DATE TO RETURN HOME TO MIDLAND TX. I was able to contact the course and was told no charges to me. Golf now owes me the $7 fee, which I figure I’ll never see. That is all

The Title says it all. Many of the greens were in pretty rough shape, bare with green spraypaint and patchy, but the greens that had no damage rolled true and medium pace. The fairways and bunkers were amazing! The teeboxes needed some attention though too. Overall for the Golfnow Hot Tee time price that I got, it was well worth the price. However if you pay full price don't play here until the greens come back. Pace of play on a Sunday was fantastic and the one group we caught up to allowed my 2-some to play through and were very kind to do so. Never saw anyone else on a Sunday with a tee time of 1330.

I have played Vaaler Creek many times. This is my favorite golf course in the area. It’s usually in pristine condition however this time some of the greens were horrible. I’ll give it some time to recover before I play next time. That being said this course should be on your courses to play.

Great layout, friendly employees, fairways were in great condition, but the greens were in poor condition. Price for play too high in consideration of the green conditions.

Greens are horrible. Large areas of sand and weeds on multiple greens make them unplayable. Service is poor. Grill staff sits in the open dining area smoking and do not answer the phone for orders as you make the turn. Used to be a great course but no longer. Don’t waste your time and money.

One of the best Hill Country Golf courses in Texas ! A couple greens are rough but overall great shape. Fair tee boxes , women tees are fair and for the low handicap it’s a test from the tips.

They have food as well

During the winter the course was immaculate. Unfortunately, the grounds keeper killed several greens. The greens are the worsts I have seen in the area. The course is great and very tough. The greens make the course a guessing game and miserable as the pace tends to be on the slow side.

Pristine grounds keeping. Despite the weather (hot and dry). Nothing but beautiful lush fairways and greens. Tricky enough layout for skilled players, forgiving enough for high handicappers. But enjoyable nonetheless. I have to dig for a downside. So here it is. The driving range is not where I would have expected. It’s back away ( down the road) from the clubhouse and from any of the tees. So. You couldn’t walk it from either, but nothing to keep me away. I can’t wait to come back to play again.

Usually a home run this course has about half the greens very dead. Charging full price for these greens is a crime and it’s disrespectful to the paying golfer. No warning,, just take the money and let us deal with the consequences . I won’t be coming back on principle. This is greed.

I recently played a round at Vaaler Creek Golf Club and was extremely disappointed. The greens were in terrible condition—completely lost and not puttable. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of communication. There was no mention of the greens' condition during booking, check-in at the pro shop, or from the starter. I strongly advise against playing here until significant improvements are made. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a better golfing experience.
