Olympia Hills Golf Course
About
Olympia Hills Golf Course is very exciting and enhances San Antonio's reputation as a golf destination. A unique combination of natural topography and man-made mounds and bunkers make this a super course. Native South Texas vegetation and golf course grass seed formulations on fairways and greens will provide state-of-the-game playing surfaces. The views are spectacular, with several holes playing to greens well below the tees, while other lead to a significant rise to reach the putting surface. Fairways, which on some holes are tight, are often sloped and guarded by bunkers. The tips will not be played by the faint hearted, but with four sets of tee boxes, the course can be enjoyed by all levels of players.

Greens are terrible
Greens are in terrible shape; 1/2 grass 1/2 crusted over dirt
Terrible course conditions
Olympia needs to be responsible and either shut down for a period of time to allow greens to grow through the last portions of rain or make this a $10 course. Nobody should be paying anything above $30 for a course that is under major repair and has not one single green that’s playable.
Fix the greens.
Fairways and tee boxes in great shape. But the greens were like putting on scorched earth. Like a burnt pool table
Greens are destroyed
When I booked my reservation, the site did not mention that two of the holes had been turned from Par 4s into 100 yd Par 3s due to construction, nor that the greens had been utterly destroyed and were baked dirt. I would have gone elsewhere, had I known. The course is in such bad shape that, in my opinion, the only reasonable choice is to shut down or completely re-sod the greens.
Save your money
Greens are in terrible shape. May as well be playing on dirt.
Course is in Terrible Shape
Course is under construction and all greens are shot, simply unplayable. Worse thing was we were never made aware of these terrible course conditions. We drove 40 miles and quit on number nine when our golf cart broke down. Not sure I’ll be using golf now anymore after this.
Greens are completely unplayable
You literally can’t put on the greens. I assume they’re going to have to set up temporary greens and spend the rest of the season fixing them. Clearly they should be charging a lot less to plan these conditions.
very poor greens
I like Olympia Hills generally speaking, but the course conditions vary so much from month to month. The greens have been completely lost and I would consider closing the course during repair/replacement of the greens.
Renovations, Great fairways, Lost greens
Olympia Hills is a great venue which is going through some temporary tee set ups due to drainage renovations on two holes. This is a great lay out with great views and challenging slopes. Their fairways are immaculate! They have however lost their greens for the moments and they are bare. Due to the renovations and greens the facility has discounted their green fees which is good.
The course is overall ok. The fairways were in great condition, but the greens were rough.
What about the greens?
While we knew that two holes were in the midst of a flood control repair and they were said to have "temporary" greens, we did not know that the course had no grass on the other 16 greens! Very disappointing
Lost the greens
They are working hard to improve several holes and have modified several holes so work can continue. This has been one of my favorite courses but when we arrived yesterday the greens were at least half mud. It is so sad I talked to a member and he said this started several weeks ago and seems to be getting worse.
Unplayable
Greens are literally black..looks like mold or motor oil. Two tempories…fivesomes common so pace of play is close to five hours. Should be closed and totally redone ..greens and closed holes.
Greens in terrible shape
Overall, this is a nice course that’s pretty challenging. But right now there are several holes that are being revamped and it’s shortening a couple of holes. The greens are in terrible shape. Nothing but dirt and mud. Staff is very friendly, though. .
The course is under renovation and has a few problems with the greens. Review should not be done at this time. Should be back to normal in 6 months
The course is beautiful and challenging when at its best. Much will change post renovation so it is unfair to review at this time. Recommend those interested in playing there at this time check with management on current conditions.
Then adjust the pricing!!!!!!!!!! You want top dollar for a GOAT TRACK??!!??!! Do you wear a mask when people pay for the robbery???????
