Olympia Hills Golf Course

I am very disappointed tn this course...I have played rounds here numerous times in the past.. But this time was way differetnt

FIrist of all i was not informed that there was construction goiing on on the front 9. 2nd...The staff did not say or tell me that the holes some holes were blocked and that there are temp holes set up, even after i told the front desk person that i have not played here for over a year or better. So after hitting a warmup bucket, i was sitting at the supposedly first tee waiting to tee off, when i noticed a sign that pointed to the number 1 hole around the corner. So i FINALLY found the temp. #1 hole...was teamed up with 2 other gentleman. So we made it thru the construction and the temp holes finally...The other thing that was annoying is that a lot of the greens were terrible, hardly any grass on them, lots of bare spots..It was very disheartening to have to try and putt on such terribly maintained greens. Try putting some money into the course and fix a lot of it and it would be a awesome course to play. but not now...IDK if its the city of Live Oak that is funding the construction or the golf course...but who ever it is should be worrying about the condition of the course not how the water flows from one end to the other. I know for sure i will not be back anytime soon for what they charged to play..on a MONDAY afternoon. You want to have people flock to your course., FIX IT..tee boxes (which are not flat), bunkers (get rid of the rock sand and put in REAL sand). Actually make some cart paths from the fairway to the sidwalk, so that the carts dont chew up and kill whatever grass was there( its mostly hard dirt and not level with the sidwalk..and most of all FIX THE GREENS...they were horrendus...

The greens here are AWFUL! Dirt patches everywhere that make it impossible to putt the ball consistently. I shouldn’t hear dirt crunching under my shoe when walking on a green… I think there was ONE green that was 1/2 decent.

It sucks too because the fairways and bunkers were in pretty good shape, just the greens make this place unplayable.

Not even worth the $36 hot deal.

Greens aren’t green. Area near greens hard dirt no grass. This course is in trouble and that makes me sad because it was such a gorgeous course a few years back. Plus at 5 pm was told kitchen was closed for the night. My response: Lady look outside! It’s not night yet.

Currently some construction for drainage improvements. So, front 9 has some temp Par 3s replacing holes 8&9. Greens have not been good for awhile. Maybe the summer droughts have been too much. One of my favorite courses to play. I wish they would just shut it down and repair all of the greens. It’s always a challenging course, so I hope it can get back to its heyday.

Course used to be in decent shape…worth the 50 or so dollars to play. In recent years the course has fallen apart, the staff always say “it’s getting better, the greens are coming back.” They aren’t. The greens are 50% grass, and putting is pretty much obsolete on this course. The layout is actually very interesting and a challenging course, but when you make no improvements to your greens, you can’t sit and charge 65 for a 30 dollar municipal course. There are much better options in the area from Buckhorn, Landa Park, Bandit, even Northern Hills.

Front 9 under construction and greens are pretty bad!

The back nine are terrible.Greens,fairways,sand traps are all in bad conditions.

The golf course is in a terrible condition.

All of the green had no grass.

We only played 4 or 5 holes and walked off the course. We used to play there all the time, it was a wonderful place.

We made our business to comeback from SPI to play there.

I don’t have the correct words to describe how nasty this place is.

PACE OF PLAY TERRIBLE

Fairways were pretty good on most holes but the greens were atrocious. We putted through legit dirt on several holes. Not worth the money they’re charging at all.

Long delay to start due to Ladies tournament. The fairways were bare on many holes-a lot of GUR markings.

Played on Sunday 7 April. This course has a great layout, however the greens fairways and tee boxes are not in good shape and have not been in several years. Their is never a marshall to montior pace of play they allowed a 5 some and then a group of 4 with 2 small toddlers. Round took nearly 5.5 hours with a wait at every tee box and not once did i pass a marshall or see one

Fairways are in great shape but the greens are a little rough. Front 9 is under construction so it is not interesting navigating the course right now. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the better courses in the area.

Greens are the worst ive ever played on, basically dirt. Course is in awful shape. They really need to get it together
