Olympia Hills Golf Course

We came out from Lubbock and played 18. Loved the fairways, and it was challenging for an okay golfer. A lot of work being done to the course!!

Played yesterday and got paired up with some good guys. That makes everything better and less stressful. Pace was good and we moved along.

There was some tree work going on. I hit my ball within a few yards from an extremely loud chipper. Gave myself couple yards of relief and hit a good shot over the bunker. Did I mention it was really frikin’ loud?

Anyway it was a beautiful day and it was overall a great time.

Unfortunately the front 9 greens were in terrible shape, to much ground under repair conditions. There was heavy equipment activity on the back nine which was very distracting. Staying away from Olympia.

The greens were matched of small grass throughout and mud. Immediately on the putt the ball bounced. Shortly beyond the rough they still haven’t cleared out the rocks like other courses in San Antonio have been able to do smh.

Pretty horrible conditions considering this place used to have some nice greens and good layout. Has been bad since they started construction

Parked, checked in, got my cart and range balls, no problem. The course is starting to green up nicely but the greens are rough and the sand traps are in great shape ( I found out personally) Started on time, I did see the Marshall several times but the pace never did pick up, ended up taking almost 5 hours to play.

The greens are not even playable, the fairways are rock hard dirt and mud patches, bunkers are terrible. You’d think an $80+ round would come with some minimal course condition expectations, but these were the very worst I’ve ever played anywhere for the price. Save your money and play the cheapest course you can find instead. It’s guaranteed to be better than this dog track.

Green frontside had a few issues. They are working on many improvements on back that will really enhance your golf outing once ✔️ done

I played just after a big rain storm and it was soggy and cart path only. Could see it being decent on a nice sunny day and good weather consitions

We enjoyed the course. Conditions were good for February. With the exception of a couple holes on the back, this was a very challenging and interesting course to play. Several holes with elevation changes and fun, undulating greens.

The course was borderline unplayable. Several fairways and greens had no grass and were rock hard. Other courses on the area are better than this one.

This course is in bad shape. It has a nice layout but the tee boxes are trash and the greens are worse. I would rank this course less than an muni. I would not pay $60 for a round. The staff is friendly and great ppl but the course was trash. Fairways were half green half dead grass. The greens were scalped and half mud. The sand traps weren’t kept up well. Overall it was a crap course. Not worth $60.

The first thing I noticed when I showed up, there was the way I was treated when I walked in the pro shop. They were really nice people and very helpful. Definitely a fun course to play.
