Four Mile Ranch Golf Club
About
Four Mile Ranch Golf Club sprawls across a stunning landscape of gently rolling hills. The layout closely follows the natural contours of the terrain and doesn't use any formal bunkers, in their place are white shale ridges called hogbacks. They can range anywhere in height from 3 to 30 feet and they're not even the golf course's only distinctive feature. The layout winds through natural rock outcropping and a number of mini canyons. It's as challenging as it is scenic, though, with several blind shots and intimidating greens, none of which are more daunting than that on the memorable par-5 sixth. This tough green is obscured by huge rocks, testing not only your skills but also your ability to strategize. Four Mile Ranch G.C. offers a golf experience like none other in the area.

Good BUT
A real nice course but need more water(drinking) cart was loud and would get stuck in reverse. Could not use my ranger finder was not in my caraway.
Amazing course
4 mile golf course is a beautiful place to spend and afternoon. Have always had fun when golfing this course. The staff are very nice. Love playing 4 mile. I would recommend this course to any one. The blind shots are always so tricky.
Always a fun day!
The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The play was slow about 5 hours to play 18. It is a unique and fun place to play.
Very interesting track, will definitely play again
4 Mile Ranch is not that far from Colorado Springs and is worth the drive. There are literally no facilities (snack bar, pro shop) but the track is really cool and difficult. There are many blind shots, lots of up and down -- undulating fairways and the greens are crazy with huge swales and mounds right on the putting surface. It was a whole lot of fun, the staff are extremely friendly and the rates are fair. We saw the beer cart girl only once and they really don't have any facilities yet, but I guess they are selling houses around the course and then maybe they'll put something more permanent in... we will definitely play there again!
Four Mile High
Probably one of the best golf values I've seen in many years. Fantastic golf course with blind shots, undulating greens and beautiful scenery. Very challenging but playable even for the novice golfer.
Weekday greens fee with cart less than $50 but course is on the caliber of ones I paid $125-$200 to play. Layout is unique and a little quirky but fun to play. So much so that you don't even worry about your score.
4 Mile Ranch is always fun to play
The course was in great condition. I always enjoy playing there.
Nice outing
Fun coarse, especially the back nine. People there very friendly.
Fun layout!
Four Mile can be tricky, with a fair number of blind shots, but the variety in the layout is great. But the shots to blind greens are into punch bowls, so just get it in the zip code! The conditions were a little rough-- early season, maybe?
No sand bunkers, fast greens with no flat surfaces
A lot of blind shots and shots that require accuracy. greens that can funnel the ball to the hole with the right pin placement and great scenery. i will play this course several times this year. no club house and the beverage cart stopped running at 3:30, they should run the beverage cart till the end of the day.
Great course
This course is in great condition for this time of year. Beautiful scenery, fairly wide fairways and very challenging greens.
No club house
I like the course and have played the Four Mile about 10 times. Good condition for Mid March.
Can be a Jekyll and Hyde
Have played this course about a dozen times. Overall I like it for its layout and varied lengths, depending on which set of tees used. What I don't like is the number of blind approach shots on the par 3's and par 5's. 5-7 depending on where the pin is and where you are on the fairway. If you can't hit straight leave your driver in the bag. The greens vary from easy (bowl shaped) to ridiculously undulated (automatic 3 putt). Lastly, they have substituted large shale hills for fairway sand traps penalizing a good shot if you hit behind or on one of these things. I seriously doubt the designer intended this.
Play-able and fun
An interesting design, course should be played more than once to appreciate the design and unique greens/ layout. I and my partner will play again.
Too tricked up to be playable
This course is to tricked up to be playable. Blind tea shots, blind approach shots, can't see the par five greens from the tea, need to bulldoze it and start over!
Great Place to Play...Always Lots of Fun
For January in Colorado, the course is in great shape and very fun to play. The staff is very friendly and I will be back to play again and highly recommend to anyone to go play this fun course. The greens are very fun to putt on, so it will take additional rounds to get to know the course and greens. Well worth the trip and the price was right.
Diamond in The Rough & Sleeper
First let me say the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the clubhouse is not much more than a trailer house parked on a dusty parking lot, no restaurant/bar. But do not let that scare you away, just bring an ice chest with your favorite beverage and snacks. What it lacks in facilities is made up by a great course.
I was vacationing in the area for 2 weeks, played everyday from Denver to Canyon City. I played this course twice which speaks for itself. 36 holes on day one, and 36 on second trip
Fist time I played it was a bit put frustrated because there are so many blind shots off the tee and some approach shots. It is a very challenging course if you are not familiar with the layout. But the course and green are in great shape. Some do not like the greens because of the undulations and they are slick but will hold a iron shot like a lawn dart.
Having said that once you play it once, you know where to hit. It is not your typical country club traditional type course. Very much like Phoenix and Las Vegas Desert golf courses. Get off the fairways and you are in raw high desert rocks and sand.
Pace of play is excellent 3 hours or less each of the four rounds. Best of all is the price paid. I paid $40 for first 18, and $25 for second 18 with a cart.
Only negative thing I can say about the course is it is not for hackers. You do not have to be long as there are tee boxes for any age, but you must be able to hit it fairly straight and pick a landing area. If you are a Slicer or hooker it is going to be a long day loosing a lot of balls.
I will be back in July 2015. Cannot wait to play this course again and will play it at least two days.
Hope that helps.

Four Mile Ranch, always a great time and deal
For December, when it could be very windy and cold, the winds were moderate to light and the temperature was in the 50 to 60 degree range. Greens are still in great shape and although the fairways and rough are browning a little, still pretty lush. The drive from Colorado Springs is well worth it. Hope to play many more times this winter. The HOT DEAL on Golfnow made it an even better deal. And 3 dollar beers from the (modular) "Pro Shop"...can't beat that deal either! GO PLAAAAAAY!
Wonderful course
I would recommend and do recommend this course to everyone meet that golf. This course is probably one of the best courses in the area. I travel from the Springs to play and its worth every mile to get there. The course is always in such great shape year round. I love also that you can play this course in the middle of winter and it still is in perfect shape.
Only thing I would say is it would be nice to have an area to sit after a nice round of golf to have a beer or two with friends to talk about the round. Also even have a hot dog machine so on the turn some folks could grab a bite to eat.
Most fun I've had on a course in a while!
Course was in great shape! But be prepared for a) target golf to specific landing zones and b) blind approaches. I was blessed with 3 locals that knew the course well. Without them I would have been lost but with them-Tremendous! The course is a bit eclectic with lots of hard doglegs and REALLY undulating greens. The pro wasn't kidding when he said, "WE have a lot of dead elephants buried out here." There are some 4-foot humps in some of the greens! But the greens were receptive and FAST! I can't wait to come back! (Yes, the pro shop is tiny but who cares? They make up for it on the course!)
