Four Mile Ranch Golf Club
About
Four Mile Ranch Golf Club sprawls across a stunning landscape of gently rolling hills. The layout closely follows the natural contours of the terrain and doesn't use any formal bunkers, in their place are white shale ridges called hogbacks. They can range anywhere in height from 3 to 30 feet and they're not even the golf course's only distinctive feature. The layout winds through natural rock outcropping and a number of mini canyons. It's as challenging as it is scenic, though, with several blind shots and intimidating greens, none of which are more daunting than that on the memorable par-5 sixth. This tough green is obscured by huge rocks, testing not only your skills but also your ability to strategize. Four Mile Ranch G.C. offers a golf experience like none other in the area.

Severely undulated greens!
This course is all about the greens. They are some of the most undulated I've ever played, and I'm a former world traveling touring pro. The course is pretty straight forward expect for a few extremely strange blind shots!!! 2 par fives have the green directly behind a small cliff/hill and a blind par 3. I've never before seen a 217 yd par 3 that you can see the green.
I liked the course overall. It will certainly help once you play here a few times.
Jim Engh....
This is the 5th time Ive been to this track. I am currently an 8 that used to be a 4. I hit the ball OB a lot, but putt, chip and hit irons very well. This is a target golf course. Bring GPS, although you can get by with just the pin sheet.. Hit lots of 3 wood and hybrid. Aim for the wide part of the fairway. Hit the appropriate third of the greens and make a ton of birdies. Pump 2 OB and hit the wrong third of the green and make a sweet 9 or 10. Greens are rolling pretty darn nice right now. Took my Mom, who usually shoots 120. She picked up a couple times, shot about 115 ish and had a complete ball from the red tees. Lots of forced carries, but if you relax the rules a bit, a high handicapper will trip out and have so much fun when the ball drains out by the hole after a thin wedge off a ridge. I play from the tips and its a trip for sure. This course accommodates everyone, but if you hit it in the jive, just drop and don't bother a 15 minute ball hunt. Have fun, check your expectations, and take advantage of low replay rates when it hands you a beat down the first time. This track is worth 100 bucks, and I love that it is so affordable. Thanks Billy.
always a fun round
4 Mile is in great shape although the greens were a bit slower than I remember from last year. Always a great course to play as the holes provide lots of variety and nice challenge.
This course is the best in Southern Colorado
Everything worked out perfectly. The staff is great and the course is coming along super! I love playing at 4 mile because it is challenging and it is also rewarding. The holes are so unique and the greens , well one of a kind. My favorite. Thanks to Golf now it becomes affordable even driving from Pueblo......Thanks jose
A Great Day
4 Mile Ranch is my favorite course in the area (I'm from Co. Springs). For this time of year the fairways are gorgeous and the greens are in better shape than the others I've played recently. See you again soon!
Great views and fun course to play
Four Mile is a Jim Ing course it has usual rolling fairways and greens that can be very trying if your on the wrong side of a slope. I love playing there it takes me out of the ho hum course designs that so many courses use.. A little far to play everyday but a real treat and well worth the time..
Windy
The course was in the shape that could be expected this time of year. The round was acceptable considering the wind was blowing hard with strong gust. This made hitting shot very difficult. The course will improve with warmer weather and water. Looking forward to playing after the conditions improve.

First time playing this course. Very demanding shots required to the greens! Crazy undulated greens so you must know your distances to get the ball in the right spots. I enjoyed playing here (black tees) and may play blue next time for another look. 10- hcp shouldn't play back tees. Going back soon.
great course with beautiful views, avoiding three putts is very hard.gr
Great course! Just needs a 19th hole.its in fantastic shape, be on guard for rattlesnakes.
Fun course anytime.
It was my birthday treat. 4 Mile Ranch is my favorite course in southern Colorado. It is typical Jim Engh design, so it is beautiful and unique. I like that it forces you to plan your shots and rewards good shots. The course was in good shape for February but the howling wind made some holes brutal (even on the green). But we had fun and can't wait to play it again.
Fun Course - great for winter golf in Colorado!
I play this course a few times a year, usually in the winter. The temps are generally in 45+ degrees during the winter months and with the low humidity - it's very playable. No sand bunkers on the course, they have hogbacks which add a level of interest to it. The greens...well, they're something to behold. Many of the greens are bowled, all of them are slanted or mounded, which makes for a great challenge. I think if you played this course every week, it'd drive you crazy due to the quirky greens, but it's a definite MUST PLAY course. Come out and try it, you'll be glad. Only dig on the course is there is no clubhouse, only a trailer and there's never been a cart person while I've been on the course. Not sure they even have one. So, bring your own food - they are good enough to give you a bottle of water to begin your round. Good thing, there's no water jugs on the course. Despite this - you really need to play this course, it's challenging and a lot of fun!!
Great course to play lots of fun.
I play there often great course can be easy or hard depends where you land on the greens.
This course is different.
This is a great course in many respects. It is really different from most in that there are no sand traps on the entire course. All the greens are very large and some have some real elevation difference from one end to the other. It's like playing a video game course. I like it but some purists may not.
A fun course to play
Just can't get enough, love this course. The wind really makes it a difficult track, but still very enjoyable and always in great shape and not crowded.
good times
I have played here twice before and just love this course. I am from the north Denver area and it is worth the drive down I've never been disappointed. every time I come the course is always in great shape. I played saturday nov 2 and decided it was worth staying over night in the area to play again on sunday.
Great outing
Love the course....great condition and can't beat the views from the back nine tee boxes. A definite visit if you're in the area.
The course is in great shape for so late in the season.
Challenging but rewarding course. Great staff, they show their appreciation for you golfing there. Beautiful location!! Well maintained and all holes were very consistent with each other.
Great course In Excellant condition
Course is a good challange. Difficult greens and narrow fairways. Great views from back nine. Played slow the last time played but usually played in under 3 hours. Course has been in great shape since late spring. Play this course if you can. It's one of the best in the area.
Fun course
Fun course Greens very challenging Lovely setting More we play course more we like it and become more adjusted to the greens
