Lakewood Country Club of Naples sprawls across 52 lush acres that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including several different bird species. Located just outside of downtown Naples, Marco Island is just a few minutes away. The golf course snakes around four freshwater lakes, the sparkling waters contrasting beautifully with the native trees and shrubs that border the fairways and greens. The par-60 course is ideal for beginners, offering a round with a conveniently quick pace of play that will still put your short game skills to the test. Making putts is particularly challenging. Most of Lakewood Country Club of Naples's greens are elevated and you'll encounter water on 14 holes. There are also 28 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Every hole has a risk-reward scenario in play, which keeps the low handicappers happy but also gives new golfers the confidence to tackle the golf course without the fear that it's too much to handle.

Short game practice only
Most holes are 120 -140 long so most holes where either Pitch or Gap wedge. Course is in good condition and really helps you hone in the 150 yard and in game. Greens are very small and demand accuracy but missed greens allow for targeted chip shots.
All in all I would recommend this course if you are looking the enhance your short game or looking to just get out for 2 hours.

Great executive course with six par 3’s and three par 4’s per 9 holes. Nice practice area for putting and chipping. And a great price at that!

Golf Course -Lakewood
I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Lakewood. Course was in fine shape. Greens were terrific. Pretty much true to form. Pace was fine. Wish there were more par 4’s and 5’s on the course.
It’s pleasant.
We thought it was an okay course. Well-kept, pace of play on our second trip was quick. The back nine is more interesting with more challenging holes (but not THAT challenging—There’s water and they are longer). It’s good for families —if your kids actually play golf. The holes are short, anywhere from 109ish to 120ish for most of the front nine, from the forward tees (red). If you want a course to work on short game, this is good for that. Some of the greens have a nasty slope to them too. Lots of fish in the water. Saw a massive thing blast into the air. Made me wonder what was chasing it.
