Lakewood Country Club
About
Lakewood Country Club of Naples sprawls across 52 lush acres that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including several different bird species. Located just outside of downtown Naples, Marco Island is just a few minutes away. The golf course snakes around four freshwater lakes, the sparkling waters contrasting beautifully with the native trees and shrubs that border the fairways and greens. The par-60 course is ideal for beginners, offering a round with a conveniently quick pace of play that will still put your short game skills to the test. Making putts is particularly challenging. Most of Lakewood Country Club of Naples's greens are elevated and you'll encounter water on 14 holes. There are also 28 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Every hole has a risk-reward scenario in play, which keeps the low handicappers happy but also gives new golfers the confidence to tackle the golf course without the fear that it's too much to handle.

Lakewood
We were unable to get out on the course due to an unfortunate personal situation. Would like to get outbthere in the future.
This course is more like a cow pasture than a golf course.
We had an 8:34 AM tee time. Arrived 1 hour earlier with the intention of hitting a few balls and loosen up, then do some putting.
Upon arriving at the pro shop, the lady was not friendly at all and had an attitude of ambivalence.
We were told to wait outside until 8:15 and then coming for registration as it was not time for registration, yet. I will never, ever go back.
Great for your short game
We played 18 in less than 3 hours. Never waited at anytime. The course was fun. The greens were slow but other than that I have nothing bad to say. WILL BE BACK
For beginners only
Small greens, slow golfers mainly because of so many par 3’s. Only worth about $35. No goats here but kind of looked like there should have been some.
Good for beginner
Good course to get back in the game after many years
Good Value
Nice course- decent condition. Excellent pace of Play.
Lakewood CC a great place for short game
Lakewood CC in Naples is a very nice executive course where you can work on your short game while your wife can have a great time hitting driver, then pitch and putt on most holes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Tee Box grass is wonderful and apparently a newer upgrade to the course.
Check in
I had a 2:10 tee time and my check in lady said that I was only allowed to play 9 holes since it was after 2. I told her that I paid for 18 and I was playing 18. She argued with me and finally relented after calling golf now and confirming I paid for 18 holes. It wasn’t a pleasant experience.
Great course for your short game
The layout of the course is pretty tight, but each hole is set up nicely so you can work on your short game, with the pins all at different angles and grades. The tee boxes could use some tlc as well as the fairways.
