El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. No amenities!
The staff was curt. They had a very poor choice of food. They could be making much more money on snacks if they had more to choose from. The staff treated myself and my playing partner as if they did not appreciate our business.
Clean up
The front nine needs to be cleaned up. Too much debris all over. Back nine was in good shape

Need to fire whoever mowed the tees
The worst tee boxes I have ever played on.
It appeared that the tee boxes were vandalized.
But I think whoever mowed ruined them. Sand was pushed up into ruts or the mower mowed down to grass.
Many tee boxes you could not find a place to tee off.
Don’t play here.

Great short course
Good short course. Greens and fairways are in great shape. Good value for your money.
No grass on the tee boxes
Course could use a major redo. No grass on the tee boxes, just sand. Sand traps are full of shoe prints and cigarette butts. Greens have tire tracks and gouges all over. Old tired clubhouse, no one cares for this course at all, very poor shape

Enjoyable Course
Course is a little tight on some holes but it’s always a pleasure to play. This is a shorter executive course but I always get to use every club.
Par for the course
Friendly and helpful staff Course conditions were decent Greens were above average pace of play was great 2 1/4 hrs playing by myself $20 for 18 holes was a great value Will definitely play there again

Awesome staff very friendly but the course needs a lot of help. Most of the tee boxes were just sand, no grass. ... and they need a Ranger to help with the pace of play. As a single, the walking threesome in front of me would not let me go ahead of them which is just bad golf etiquette! It would be a cute little executive course but they just need to fix it up a bit.
