El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Poorly taken care of
Expected a decent round of golf, was met with terrible course conditions, a 25 minute start delay due to lack of carts, and almost caught a few balls to the forehead due to the poor course layout. Either prices need to go down, or more safety fences need to go up.
Needs tlc
Pace of play is a big problem and no one seems to be bothered, as most of their coolers are full. It has some nice features and of course a shorter course with many par 3s

The Friendly Golf Course
We love playing at El Rio. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Can’t beat the price! It’s conveniently located with fun restaurants nearby for some food and drink after a game.
Cheap and you get what you pay for.
Course was overbooked. Pace of play was slow. They did not have enough carts so we all were waiting in the club house until our name was called.
The holes are tightly packed . Your life is in jeopardy on every hole as tee shots from other holes were coming close.
Course was cheap. It was a nice day and it was better than working. I will not return but you know what everyone should try it once.

Outstanding experience
We played El Rio for the first time and can’t wait to book another tee time. The course and club staff are awesome.

Rude guy in pro shop
Came in as a single and asked if I could get out early. He told me in a very rude manner that they were completely booked solid. I watched as almost every group went out as a twosome including the three twosomes in front of my tee time. Not only was the tea boxes and the greens horrible. If you don’t have the best golf course in the world you should probably not lie to your customers and definitely you should be nicer

Slow
Booked 2 oclock tee time. 240 finally teed off. Waited on every hole. Almost 4 hours for a course this size was incredibly slow.
