El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Trees that line the fairways demand accuracy but the landing areas are generous. Great course for the money
If you’re looking to work on your irons and short game this is your place. Small greens, surrounded by sand. Accurate irons a must for this course, unless you’re working on your short game. Overall, great value for the money and staff was extremely friendly.
Shorter than ever!
There are temporary tee blocks, making the course even shorter than originally. The greens are in rough shape, too.
Course needs TLC
Tee boxes were closed due to new grass planted so temporary “tee boxes” were in effect. Almost all holes were cart path only however we haven’t had any recent rain. Most of the greens were in fair to poor condition, need to have attention - bad roll.
Fun !
Fun little course. Friendly staff. Course is a bit squishy. Fun times each time we play. Great to work on your short .
Budget Course
Horrible course conditions when we played then told to be stay off grass completely with the golf cart. They should have closed on the day we played instead of keeping it open. We needed a shower immediately from all the mud and wet grass we encountered.
Needs a lot of work
The course was so wet and full of mud which go on our clothes and was a mess. They should have closed it for the day.
Nice course but very dry
Staff is friendly, easy to get a teetime. But it is very very dry so teeboxes are closed and temporary in front. Some greens are also to dry
Course conditions
The course conditions were so bad that I didn’t even pull out my putter on most holes and was using one club pretty much the entire time
