It was creepily dead for a Saturday
I'm sure the course was not happy about this but there was almost no one on the course when we went. Not once did we run into someone or have someone come up from behind. I really think they may want to lower pricing to attract more people. It was a very peaceful and nicely paced round. Thanks.
Rough conditions
Lets start by saying the greens are in above average shape. T boxes are sparse and fairways are threadbare in spots. Hops some seeding and water can fix this place up.
JUST GO PLAY THERE!
Wonderful layout - tees, fairways and bunkers in playable shape - move the ball everywhere. Greens really really good and it makes the course worthwhile. Get a hot deal on Golf Now and enjoy this course.
no reservation
When we arrived at Lake Diamond they had no record of my Golf now reservation. So we had to pay on site. Please make sure that we were not charged by Golf Now.
Great layout
The back nine is so beautiful. The whole course skirts the Ocala National forest. Fairways and tee boxes are in fair condition the greens were good but a little slow. The bunkers are greatly improved.
Great staff and nice value
Front desk clerk was very friendly and let us know about the upcoming deals.
Diamond Lake review
Greens were pretty good but the fairways and most Tee boxes were in poor shape
STAY AWAY
This course was the worst course I’ve ever played on. Certain holes were closed off. Others were partially closed with a random pin stuck in the fairway. Was not surprised that we only seen 1 other cart playing on the course the whole time.
The fairways were a little bare in several areas around the course this outing.
Unlike last visit we had to roll the ball a lot in the fairway. The greens were very good and easy to play.
Course needs help
front nine needs a lot of help. Fairways are bare. Back nine was slightly better conditions.
Fair course but great for beginners
Great for beginner golfers but don't expect lush greens and great landscapes. Needs lots of regular maintenance and work on broken cart paths. For a country club you would think they would have some sort of pro shop. Driving range has horrible range balls, and no yard markers. Honestly, save the money and go else where.
