Lake Diamond
This is a very nice, challenging course. It plays pretty long, but also has a high value on really good shot placement. The greens are huge, sloped and in great shape. Tees and fairways are in pretty good shape, maybe a few thin spots, but for peak dry season in Florida not bad. Pace of play was great, not many people on course on a Tues. A definite do over, just don't tell too many people lol.
Challenging back 9
Fairways are tight w/lots of poana grass. Greens are large, have good speed & plenty of undulations. Privileged to play w/2 awesome ladies who live on the course. Staff was fabulous.
Not much grass in the fairways. Work in progress, I hope.
If the course was up home in Wisconsin, I would say they had a lot of winter kill, but being in Florida, I would expect much better grass conditions on the greens and fairways.
Gd for the money
Staff was friendly, front nine was alittle beat up. Back nine was in nice shape with a scenic layout. Greens were in gd shape and rolled true. Id try to get it for $25 or cheaper next time I go back.
Doglegs Everywhere!
If you like to work mentally on what club to pick, this is the course. Tree lined and doglegged like crazy. Greens were in excellent condition but tough pin placements. I would have friends play this course to see if they do as well. Tight lies like a lot of Florida courses in winter. Need to have a paved parking lot. Otherwise great day playing with 2some had fun with.
Great place to play
Multiple tee options, dog legs alternate on every hole to make it fun. No outside noises and with only a few exceptions you don't see another hole from the one you are playing.
Good Course
This is a great course for the money. The greens were exceptional.
Good condition for this time of year. Does not over seed.
Greens have a lot of undulations that make them tough to read but they are in good condition and fun to play.
Mostly Good
Good layout with a variety of hole designs, no two alike. Greens are tiny, but in fine shape. Bunkers ok, and maintained fairly well. Fairways and tees are not as good, with plenty of dead areas and rough terrain. But that shouldn't deter you from playing this course, as long as you know the fairways won't be perfect. It is fun to play, requiring strategic shotmaking and is well-priced.
Plenty of housing development going on around the front nine.
