Afternoon flooding of the greens Photo submitted by kerrykeller on 04/04/2014
9 am on a Tuesday 3 hour 18 holes
Great pace on a Tuesday morning 9am. Great layout and really nice greens. Some course construction on 17 and the green is makeshift on the end of the fairway. I will be back soon!
Conditions
Overall this is a good course. I think when 17 & 18 are finished the course will be very good. But I think taking both the 17 green and 90% of the 18 tee boxes out was a mistake. It left no proper finishing 2 holes to play.
Tough summer
The extra hot summer took its toll. Lot's of work needed to bring back to the great course it has been.
Bad
I feel when a course is going thru a major change it should be noted to give the players a choice to want to play or find another course to play. Conditions weren’t great I’ve seen this course in way better condition. Couldn’t play the front 9 at all had to play the back 9 twice which had a non green on 17 in middle of fairway. For the $41 charge it should have cost $12. But hopefully this course gets back to what it was before now.
Annoyed
The course has renovations going on. Our problem was that were stuck behind a fivesome playing very slow. With the front 9 closed because it was wet. We paid for 18, played 9 n left annoyed.
Toms Review.
Course wasn’t in very good shape. Looked like the greens were air rated about two weeks ago, were bumpy and super slow. Received an email after I played that they are transitioning to a new course superintendent and they apologized for the condition of the course. I would hold off playing this course until it is in better condition.
Poor conditions
Course is under renovation the greens are not in good condition
Looks like recent aeration
Lots of wet areas
Needing TLC
The course had fallen on hard times. Fairways are full of weeds and several of the greens are so patched they are almost unplayable.
Good afternoon, We are in the transition of superintendents. In the process the golf course has suffered. We would like to invite you back for a free round, we do not want you to leave with the impression that this is how we do things here at the Crane Watch Club. We hope to see you soon.
What happened?
In the past few years, they have put a lot of money into this course, and all of a sudden it took a nose dive. I was going downhill! I don’t know if the owner died or what happened, but it went from four down to a 10 in my ratings I would not suggest playing this course until they fix the problems. They don’t have court pass so they close more than never opened during the summer or you have to walk which is 7 miles around.

Another booking that they didn’t mention the course was all torn up!
Everyday golfer
This course will be a very nice course. Once they finish all the repairs and work on it greens are in good shape, but all still aerated, and some holes were still on the construction.
Rough
Course condition is very very poor. I’ve played here many times over the years and this was by far the worst I’ve seen it. Punched greens. Most greens were dirt with very little grass on them. Lost of course construction with a temporary hole on 17. Tee boxes with little to no grass. It was hard to have a good time with such poor conditions.

Disappointed
Despite a downpour the previous night (that the course can't control), the overall condition of the course was awful. Not the Evergreen conditions played previously. Greens were punched and burned out. Several bunkers were flooded. No warning provided by GN either. A few new tee boxes (temporary tees) and a temp green #17. The course was sopping wet from the prior night and only allowed carts in rough - the course did send an email out in the morning with this info. Honestly, the course should be closed until renovations are completed and maintenance has a chance to improve tee boxes and greens.
Fun course
Some issues on greens or tee boxes in terms of coverage or it would be a five. Even so, it was good value and interesting and enjoyable. I will play again.
