About
Editor's Note: The Meadows Course is currently closed, due to the damage from Hurricane Michael. See Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course listing for the remaining 18 holes that are still open.
Bay Point offers two scenic championship courses that are situated right along the Emerald Coast overlooking the pristine waters of St. Andrews Bay. Both golf courses offer a unique experience but the same beautiful scenery. The Meadows Course is classic country club golf with a playability that endures day in and day out. The layout features tight fairways, numerous bunkers, and lakes that present different challenges every time you play. The course is also heavily wooded with trees lining the fairways. One feature of the design that never changes though, is that it always demands accuracy and careful strategy. At 6,913 yards, the golf course allows long hitters to really shine. Bay Point's two 18-hole courses are complemented by practice facilities that include an immaculately manicured putting green and driving range.

Enjoyable day
Immediatlely greeted in the parking lot with a cart. Asked if I played here before. Instructed me to the pro shop. Pro shop gal, starter & the two I was placed with were very friendly & cordial. Course a fair challenge. Bunkers clean. Fairways have some roll. Greens a bit slow & bumpy. Took awhile to figure out the speed. I would return however.
Enjoyable round
This was my first round at Bay Point Meadows. I thought the course layout was great - lots of doglegs and some elevation changes but nothing that drastic that an average golfer like me couldn't manage. The course was in pretty good shape - fairways were great, greens were in good shape but very slow, but the tee boxes needed a little work but nothing you couldn't deal with. Stayed and had lunch in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Food and beverage cart was available on the course. Overall it was a great round and a good day.
Unremarkable
The course was in fine shape in fairways and greens. Off the fairways it was pretty junky. Staff is friendly enough, the course is simply unremarkable. There is nothing to remember about it after you've played it. We only played it because the wonderful Jack Nicklaus course was closed.
This course was a lot of fun.
Had a great time. Starter was excellent with advice for someone who had never played this course. I will be back.
A little slow
I played by myself and had no problems until I got to munber 8 then things were really backed up and didn’t seem like there was a marshal moving things along
Not best condition but still nice.
Tee boxes were mostly sand. Sand traps and bunkers were not raked from previous rains. Greens slow but in good shape . Pace of play was slow half through the round. No marshal in site after start. Still nice course.
Rainy round here
Day started great, course not crowded, but hot. Played with another single, almost the same game. Backside storm interrupted play, but enjoyed the experience.
Over priced!
This is an average golf course, nothing really bad about it but nothing that great either! Greens were a tad slow but playable. Tee boxes and bunkers not in the best shape! Bottom line is this should be a $35 to $45 course not $70.....
Great course
Great course for the money in the area... It was in great shape.
Florida wet
We enjoyed our round of golf but just like normal Florida weather we got a good downpour of rain at hole 12-13. The rain doesn't bother me to much but the lightning does. We waited a shorty while for it to blow thru and completed the round. The cart girl was very good, the pace of play was very good. The course it self was in very good shape. I would recommend this course to others. It is just one of those things to deal with in the summer when playing in Florida.
Good course
The greens were way too slow for a course of that price. Paid $72.00 yet greens were slow and some tee boxes were sandy and not very grassy. Bunkers were packed sand of grey color as well. Enjoyed the round because I hit the ball straight, but if my driver was not on, it would have been a long day since the course is very tight and tree lined. Need to speed up the greens. Nicklaus Course was closed so had to play the Meadows. Enjoyed it but it was not worth the price.
Horrible pace of play
8:00 tee time reservation, didn’t tee off till 8:20 bc of poor tee management.
Took 3 hours and 20 minutes to play 9 holes.
I shot a 44, partner shot a 42.( we were not the issue)
This course now allows the stand up scooter style carts, horrible for pace of play, when they all go to each ball for each hit. Also taking multiple tee shots and shots during each hole. I complainted to the Marshall 3 times, no change in play.
We left after the front 9.
Nicklaus Course Closed!
I booked to play the Nicklaus course 2 weeks in advance for 3 players as they advised. We came from Oklahoma to find out they had closed the Nicklaus course the day before to trench around the greens for “maitenece”. No phone call and notification saying they were doing that. Also, the driving range was closed due to the previous rain. The lady in the office didn’t even know that the range was closed. So once we paid, they said we could go ahead and play the Meadows course, which isn’t the one we traveled here to play, it was super frustrating. The tee boxes and fairways were in good shape but the greens were half dead and SUPER SLOW!! It was cart path and rough only for the carts. They were accommodating to our situation a little. They allowed us bring our own drink bag in. Also, don’t expect to go to the clubhouse for anything at the turn because the turn is on the opposite side of the course. Overall it wasn’t the worse course I’ve played, however it was a major let down because we traveled far to play this specific Nicklaus course and couldn’t after we booked 2 weeks in advance and were forced to play The Meadows which wasn’t really in good shape either. Don’t waste your money here. Go somewhere else and play a much better course in the area, they’re are a lot better options around here.

I'm sorry you had a negative experience please email cpitts@kempersports to further discuss this
Disappointing
I am originally from the area and was back in town for the weekend. It has been many years since I played there. The course wasn’t not what I remembered. A lot of bare spots on the greens. They were extremely slow. Fairways were the best part. Tee boxes left a lot to be desired. Will just say it’s not what it used to be. You can play. Just convince yourself to hit your putts hard enough.
Good course for the bogy golfer
Some fairly narrow drives but overall not many problem areas. Conditions were average, reasonably good grass in both fairways and roughs, the greens were good but very grainy - quick downhill but had to really wack in on the uphill putts.
Kinda mundane
Its a tight course with little wiggle room for mistakes. That'd not to say you will lose a ball but there are so many trees to where it's hard to come back if you hook or slice. I'm used to hilly elevation type courses in North Georgia to keep things interesting but it definitely didn't provide as much interest as the other course, Nicklaus. Highly recommend Nicklaus.
I"m sorry to hear about your pace problems. Could you please email cpitts@kempersports to follow up with this issue. Thank You very much
