About
A championship 72-hole golf course measuring just less than 6,900 yards, Village Golf Club is a Mark Mahannah design. The Village has hosted a number of PGA of America events in addition to many local charity tournaments. The Village blends sand traps, water hazards and mature cypress trees to create and atmosphere like no other. It has one of the largest driving ranges in the County.

the Village
this course over the past 2 years or so has been maintained in an excellent fashion. It is in fantastic shape even with the extended play it is getting this time of year. THe staff should be commended on a job well done!
SLOOOOWWW!
Nice course, but pace of play this weekend was so slow. Only played nine holes, but we were on a five hour pace if we had played 18. Slowest course I've played in many years. I like the layout and hopefully they can address the pace of play issue but would not recommend it until that is resolved.

I am not sure of the day, time or number of players you were, but two and a half hours for nine holes is certainly unacceptable anytime and not an accepted or normal pace of play. Hopefully we see you again in the future and can prove ourselves to have a better pace of play. Thanks again
Last game ot 2016
This was our last game of 2016. We had a great time on a great golf course in top shape.
Look forward going back in February 2016.

Need more manicured
It was slow for the first nine because there were no marshall... The lady was playing 8-12 stokes every hole.
Some tee-offs was not very good and sandy. They need to take care of the rough ( too long )

Sorry to hear you got behind a slow group and they would not let you through. We tend to only have a starter/ranger on the weekends in the Summer. We have been adding sand to several tee boxes in an effort to level off some of our poorer tee boxes. The rough is certainly longer then normal with all the rain and sun we have had, but the crew is out there now trying to keep up. We truly appreciate your comments because it helps us recognize where we need to be better
Fun course
Fun course for a Sunday round. Lots of locals that both walk and ride but they move quickly. The course was in great shape. It's fair but does have a decent amount of water that sneaks into play outside of your normal sight lines. Greens were good, not lighting fast but a nice surface that allowed aggressive pace, mostly on uphill putts. Nice people and laid back environment. I'll play there again.

Nice layout
Like this local course good layout and good opportunities to score. Course is in good condition.

Great bang for the buck
On vacation so I didn't know where to play. Course in great shape, staff were great. Greens were fast but fair. Water placed well and bunkers in play. Great job Village

Course Conditions Could Be Better
Greens were thin with some bare spots and rolled uneven. Fairways were thin and had some weeds (but others were being treated). Nice layout and attractive plantings -- f they spent as much attention to the greens and fairways, it would be a top-notch course. Staff is very friendly. Reduced rates as of 3/28/2016. They do not have drinking water on the course; get cups at clubhouse before you start.

Fun Course
Course has many interesting holes, reachable in regulation for less than long hitters. Fairways were in decent shape but there were a lot of sand filled divots close to the greens, probably due to the wet weather we have had . Overall, it was a fun course to play and I will be back.

Great Layout - A few rough spots
I really enjoyed the layout Fairways are a bit narrow which makes the track challenging. Plenty of bunkers and water although the water is not in play on all holes. A few greens were rough. Nearly all tee boxes were beat up and sloped. That is the one thing I hate most about most public courses. Need good footing on the tee.

Your review is quite accurate, fairways are a bit narrow, and there is plenty of water that does not come into play much. A few of the greens are unusually rough lately, due to some unseasonable weather. We are working diligently to return them to their normal form. As for the tee boxes, they have also suffered some unseasonable weather. We are also rebuilding a few each Summer to remove the slopes. We look forward to seeing you again!
Course has gone downhill
The course used to be a great place to play. But the greens have gotten disease, therefore the grass is very thin compared to normal, as well as the edges being scalped in places. The traps are in excellent shape, and the fairways are thin and wet. The rough is rough. The driving range is quite sandy, and the practice green is worn. I'm surprised people are paying this much to play here, as much as it is a good layout.

Wet conditions and lack of sunlight has really hurt us. Nevertheless, we are putting in maximum effort to restore the greens to where everybody expects them.
